I mean I think Sporting and United have good enough relations where they might like to work with United more and it could help facilitate a deal.Yeah I get that. It wasn’t meant to suggest they are a small club by any means and a first option agreement doesn’t have to mean no negotiation or competition for a good player.
It just seems like Sporting could use some help competing against Porto and Benfica and maybe we could supply it in a mutually beneficial way.
In truth those ‘farm’ teams (vitesse/Antwerp) haven’t ever really produced a player for the first XI so probably a bit pointless in the end.
I do think United could help us compete with Porto or Benfica but not by loaning us Youngsters but rather making deals in the mold of the Rojo one where we got a player like Nani who was head and shoulder the best player in our league at that time.
Just the idea of loaning in youngsters does not make sense for us because we produce young players at a very high rate so it would not make sense unless we get to own a big percentage or something like that.
