They are on at the Manchester Apollo.
Well Excited !!

Love them :)
Should be a great concert. Will they be singing knees and toes, knees and toes for the encore?

Seriously though, One Day Like This is one of my favourite songs.

I saw them at Glastonbury last year. Can't call myself a huge fan but that song was pretty magical.

It has that Bittersweet Symphony feel to it. I think it's the string ensemble... a perfect song.

How were they? My favourite band, they're amazing, I can listen to them over and over and not get bored, just beautiful music and lyrics.
I challenge anyone to listen to Mirrorball and not get goosebumps.
Did they play any new stuff?

Yep, they did "New York Morning" , "My sad captains" and "The take off and landing" "Fly boy Blue" and possibly another couple (can't remember).
They did a really varied set from all albums - some I hadn't heard in concert for years!

They were awesome.
Brilliant live band and Guy Garvey is a funny bloke :)

He's a great front man, really funny. The encores are always hilarious.
First dance at our wedding was Newborn, seen them 4 times now and they've never done it.
They've been recording new stuff lately, they do anything you didn't know?

Fantastic band.

I saw them in Auckland in November....was great to see one of my favourite ever bands from the Peoples Reupublic of Mancunia for the first time since I emigrated.

The concert they did at Jodrell Bank, in the pishing rain, was one of the best gigs I've ever been to.

Did you enjoy it, @Jake ?

I thought they were on form and great set list, too.

"have you done your homework"?
@Man Utd Mrs Yes they were fantastic!

Guy is a funny bloke like you said. Enjoyed my sad captains the best, or maybe The Bones of You. He did a couple of songs I wasn't familiar with as well.

Top night

I posted a set list above. Jake so you can listen to the ones you were unfamiliar with again.:)
@Whiteside1985 Yep, I agree. Elbow do great live gigs. Some of the best I've ever been to, to be honest :)

Nice set list, a few I've not heard when ive seen them.
If anyone's got into them since Seldom Seen Kid and not got the back catalogue it's well worth investing in, everything they've brought out has been brilliant, just took 4 albums before anyone really "got it".

This lot are playing in Oakland on Monday and tickets are only $50. I like some of their stuff but have never listened to an album. Would I enjoy the gig not really knowing the material that well?
