I hope, if we do get new owners, they don't allow clubs to take the piss out of us with transfer fees like the Glazers have. 120m euros for this lad you're having a fecking laugh.
Yeah he's next tier down to that figureI hope, if we do get new owners, they don't allow clubs to take the piss out of us with transfer fees like the Glazers have. 120m euros for this lad you're having a fecking laugh.
That was definitely the mindset of our previous president but not the current oneMy point was that all what is needed is one good half season and Benfica jlwill slap huge price on that player. And clubs still fall on that bs.
Enzo for 120 mil after few months in club was perfect example.
I swear; every time they sell a player, their president thinks; "ok, lets see who is next 100 mil player? Maybe someone from the bench?"
I'm not convincedWhile i think Osimhen is the logical choice, i think making the move quickly for Ramos is the smarter choice. He'll be easier to get from Benfica so no prolonged negotiations and it wont be as expensive so we can strengthen in other places as well
Kane would cost too much and trying to convince Levy to sell him to a direct top 4 rival would be damn near impossible unless Kane made demands which won't happen
well for starters he actually has a release clause in his contract so that is one thing....second thing is that Benfica are a selling club and if they can get a big fee, they will move him along.I'm not convinced
If we're paying his release clause might as well add 20m and sign Osimhen thenwell for starters he actually has a release clause in his contract so that is one thing....second thing is that Benfica are a selling club and if they can get a big fee, they will move him along.
I think our preference is Kane, but we'll set up a backup deal for Ramos in case Spurs don't play ball early on.While i think Osimhen is the logical choice, i think making the move quickly for Ramos is the smarter choice. again...Osimhen doesn't have a release clause, they'll be coming off of wining their first Scudetto in lord knows how long PLUS a big run the champions league. I think negotiations for him won't be easy as they don't need the money so it will end up like trying to deal with Spurs and Levy for Kane.If we're paying his release clause might as well add 20m and sign Osimhen then
No point saying again, the same thing applies for Ramos, because they won't negotiate much lower than his release clause in my opinion. So that again would be throwing big money right off the bat.again...Osimhen doesn't have a release clause, they'll be coming off of wining their first Scudetto in lord knows how long PLUS a big run the champions league. EtH has already gone on record that he wants the main bit of summer business done before they come to the US for preseason. Just can't see that happening UNLESS you throw Big money right off the bat which we know won't happen
i mean yes potentially true about his asking price but if you get into a bidding war with say Chelsea....how prolonged will it take especially b/c everyone knows how badly United need a CF in the summerNo point saying again, the same thing applies for Ramos, because they won't negotiate much lower than his release clause in my opinion. Reported asking price for Osimhen is only 20m above Ramos release clause.
Not long since they will want to replace him. I'm not even advocating for signing Osimhen by the way, just saying that if you think negotiating a reasonable price with Benfica is going to be quick and easy, think again.i mean yes potentially true about his asking price but if you get into a bidding war with say Chelsea....how prolonged will it take especially b/c everyone knows how badly United need a CF in the summer
Benfica won't be selling for less than Nunez and unless he has great games in the remaining matches of the ucl, no club would offer more than what Liverpool got for Nunez
Benfica's Darwin Nunez understood to be worth €75 million (£64.1 million), with a further €25 million (£21.4 million) in potential add-ons.Not long since they will want to replace him. Bingo that's exactly what I think is happeningI think our preference is Kane, but we'll set up a backup deal for Ramos in case Spurs don't play ball early on.
No chance I would buy Ramos for €100mn if Osimhen can be got for €20mn more. I like Ramos but think he would struggle against English defences and I just don't think he's athletic enough overall. While i think Osimhen is the logical choice, i think making the move quickly for Ramos is the smarter choice. Hes going to cost about the same as Kane though?Seems like the most logical choice given price tag of him in comparison to Osimhen and Kane. Plus, we have other areas that need to be addressed that will require big investment like CM and CB.
i don't think so....Ramos might be 70m plus addons at 21Hes going to cost about the same as Kane though?
Kane price was quoted around 85m -100m and Ramos is 70m - 100m. I didn't say anything about age by the way.i don't think so....Ramos might be 70m plus addons at 21
Kane is going to be expected at 100m and i'm sure some addons at 30
Absolutely not, 100M for Ramos? he's got what one season as a starter in portugal? Osimhen and specially Kane are solid options. Have shown level to deserve their price tag severeal season now.Seems like the most logical choice given price tag of him in comparison to Osimhen and Kane. Ramos makes sense for a transfer below 55m and 60m at a push.Absolutely not, 100M for Ramos? he's got what one season as a starter in portugal? Osimhen and specially Kane are solid options. Have shown level to deserve their price tag severeal season now.
Osimhen is a pipe dream right now (can't afford what Napoli want for him) and Kane involves dragging the transfer on until deadline day with Levy.Absolutely not, 100M for Ramos? he's got what one season as a starter in portugal? I very much doubt the United are preparing a bid with the Club up for sale.Tweet

Exactly, but we all know benfica doesnt sell for cheap. Sold Enzo for 120M, Nunez for 80M. They dont need the money and they're used to holding players unless they get the ridiculous fees they ask.Ramos makes sense for a transfer below 55m and 60m at a push.

its a 25M difference, would that really be the difference between signing other players or not? This was the Nunes price....€75 million (£64.1 million), with a further €25 million (£21.4 million) in potential add-ons
i'm not saying i prefer Ramos over Osimhen or Kane....just for that price as opposed to paying £100m for the other two guys, it would allow you to bring in multiple players for different positions
Well you have factor in wages, Agent fees etc which would be significantly higher in Case of Kane, Osimhen so it would be More Than 25 m difference.its a 25M difference, would that really be the difference between signing other players or not?
I think a keeper along with a striker is the priority. We sign a CB every fecking summer.Seems like the most logical choice given price tag of him in comparison to Osimhen and Kane. Plus, we have other areas that need to be addressed that will require big investment like CM and CB.
