I thought it was wise by Ganguly to give his mainstream bowlers of Khan, Srinath and Nehra a break in this match, given the tough target they set Kenya on, once India had made they were dictating the pace of the game.

It was not too heartbreaking to find some of the other bowlers getting a little wayward. I think Ganguly was using his resources in the right manner...

The final's now up... May the best team win!

What is Chatteris?
Yep - excellent captaincy. He won the toss in a day / night game. <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

Things are looking bleak for the Indians seeing as the Aussies scored 359.

in Tests and One dayers?</strong><hr></blockquote>

Ganguly is a fantastic one day player. His record, in many ways is only second to Tendulkar's. Seems to struggle big time sometimes and this results some thoroughly disappointing performances often times. On song, Ganguly has a wonderful eye for the ball and, albeit his lack of foot movement, his offside play is a treat to the eye.

As a test player, it is quite disappointing that Ganguly has not maintained his huge promise. He, along with Dravid and Tendulkar, should have averaged well over 50 in Tests. I have not watched a lot of test cricket of late, but, I feel Ganguly does have the ability to perform higher than merely an average of 43 in tests.

What to say of Dravid? I think that this man has played as important a role in the Indian team as anyone else. Very quiet in his performances, and never hyped, I think he is the unsung hero of the Indian team. And quite so in one-dayers. He has never been an agressive guy. But, even that non-agressive attitude is very positive in a game and he has provided platforms for the other explosive guys to work from. I would never substitute Dravid for anybody else - a very good wicket keeper, and arguably the best combination of wicket-keeper batsman behind Gilchrist.

There is not going to be enough praise that can be hyped on Dravid for his test match game. Arguably the best test batsman in the world. A technique so silky and picture perfect. You want to see batting at its calligraphic best, don't watch Tendulkar (as unconventional as it ever gets, never as elegant), watch Dravid!

In summary -

Ganguly the better one day player; disappointing in tests.

Dravid a pivotal part of the one-day Indian team; absolutely fantastic test batsman.
