Reminds me a bit of Moyes at United. Came in during a time when there was a massive change at the club and has probably taken a lot of the blame for the higher ups mistakes. He likely won’t have commanded the dressing room either, a shame because you have to gamble on going to a club like Chelsea if you get the chance but in hindsight he was safer staying with Brighton.
He's going to be loaded

The statement say to get behind the caretaker manager until the end of the season.
No chance a top manager walks into there this season
I’m not so sure. If they aren’t getting a top manager in right now (where there is zero expectation and pressure with where they are) then it makes little sense sacking Potter right now.

It's a repeat of what happened at Forest, but this time the Chairmen got rid of his own Managerial appointment less than 7 months after hiring him. Despite flooding the team with new players, knowing it would take time for the team to build up, knowing his Managerial appointment was a long-term appointment than getting fed up when his long-term appointment and strategy weren't working in the short term. Amateur hour.
This is just incorrect. Yes, we have had an injury crisis and a lot of players come in but he has not and i repeat HAS NOT gotten the best out of the team. He's been given new life in new signings that has been a plus. He's already left players out of the team that he doesn't want to work with. He has the lowest win rate of any Chelsea manager. Let that sink in.
Villa brought in Emery and is performing better than us with a less talented team.
Players aren't rewarded for good performances he chops and changes tactics formations and lineup. We went on a good run with a good consistent team he changed that team up for no reason. Yesterday we had wingers at wingback and fullbacks at center back with two fit center backs on the bench.
When you break down the chance the team creates they aren't good chances you can't expect your team to score goals when the quality of the chances we create is so low. You're leading against Everton you're balling them then you decide to sit back and hang on.
You can have a project in mind and accept when the coach is not the right person to lead the project.

Boehly is playing Championship Manager.

Not that Potter did great but you need to give manager time.

Sacking Thchel didn’t make sense. Sacking him now with nothing to play for when he should have been sacked months ago when they had a chance of doing something doesn’t make sense!

Do you think Perez is a cretin? He will never put his monster ship in the hands of a pretentious kid.
Allegedly, Perez has admired him for years. He's made stranger appointments in the past.

How much did they pay to get him from Brighton? Todd Boehly is clueless

Really intrigued to see what a different manager will achieve. Doesn’t seem like the easiest of jobs at the minute.

Didn’t think they would actually do it. They’re not wrong for doing it but I didn’t think they would.

It’s a shame as I was really enjoying seeing just how bad things were going for them. It was fascinating to watch because I didn’t think it was possible it could be that bad.

Wasn’t it something like £20m?

Apparently he was on £12m per year and a 5 year contract.

He’s going to get over £50m from Chelsea as pay out.

£70+m on potter for 25 games..

Wow

They’ve done a Spurs.
:houllier:

At least Spurs case is understandable. Conte had enough and wanted out, but the coaching set up is doing decent as the top 4 is still alive. Conte implement a style, so they would try to maintain it and ride the storm.

Chelsea only has the CL tie to play for, but let have Potter assistant do it instead of him when Potter doesn't build any foundation structure at Chelsea for his now former assistant to work with.

What's incorrect about anything I said? You brought in a host of new players in the Summer and again in the Winter. It's nothing like the Villa job where Emery is working with a smaller, settled team. Chelsea have changed a host of new players and expected Potter to just work it out, even if he rates or doesn't rate the players. It's exactly the same situation as Forest.

Yes, Potter can be the wrong man and yes you can sack him. But you still look like amateur hour bringing in a Manager, understanding that the project is long term, bringing in a host of new players and yet expecting the Manager to deal with all that and make it work short term. Football simply doesn't work like that. Just accept that your owners are horrific and don't know what the hell they're doing, it will make it easier in the long run and temper your expectations as you watch shit show after shit show unfold before your eyes.

To make matters even worse the next Manager is going to have to deal with a squad where players will have 6+ year contracts and he'll just have to make do with the shit you've got. Knowing that if he doesn't like these players shifting them on will be tricky. It's nice to see another top club being run horribly for a change, we had it for a number of years under Woody. Your turn!

Chelsea were true to their word. They didn’t sack him after he failed to get CL.

Nah, there should be some clause related to the time spent in the job (seven months) and the severance pay mentioned in another tweet will be muuuuuuch less than that. Potter might well sue Boehly for more, if he likes.
