Nice thread.

Watching that Rafael goal vs QPR and Fergie grinning on the touchline brought a tear to the eye. I miss that man and those players and that team and the general arrogance of our club.

Never forget Vidic scoring this absolute thundercnut of a strike against Villa.

Such an hilarious amount of technique considering how bloody hard he hits the ball.

Viva Vida.

A never-nude? I thought he just liked cut-offs.
He's scored enough of them for a defender that he mightn't fit the criteria for the thread, but Steve Staunton had a weird capacity to unleash a belter, given that he wasn't a frequent scorer. Scored three times direct from corners according to Wiki too!

His only goal for Marseille, I believe. He wasn't much of a goalscorer — 1 goal in 52 games for France & never got more than 3 goals per season at his peak (he scored a bit more in his younger days though).
Papin's face. I know it's moved, but what's the keeper all about though?

Both these two scored less than 10 goals in their entire career:

If Carra had scored with that long hit in his last match, it would have been a glorious goal. He hit the post.

Umtiti against Spurs.

Although he scored loads of great goals, Gareth Bale against Stoke was aesthetically pleasing!

The first goal I came to think of was van Bronckhorst vs Uruguay in the 2010 WC semifinal.

Fred scored some good strikes from outside the box for Shakhtar before they swapped him for his much shitter twin brother who joined us.

Smalling scored plenty of goals from set pieces, but his strike v Watford not long before Jose got sacked was something else. A classic striker’s goal:

Speaking of World Cup, Pavard's best goal of the tournament. And Nacho's.

How come no one has mentioned O'Shea :D

For me that was much more difficult than simply banging the ball with some brute force.

Came here to post this, the technique is absolutely brilliant I love this goal, it's not even hit hard but it just looks aesthetically beautiful
