Koeman in that Ajax team is a bit of a stretch, his best years came at PSV and Barca. If we count such things though, @Invictus

Scholes did nothing for England, certainly relative to those from United's midfield that did; there's no way he can be in the team unless it's an exercise in just picking the best players that came from club football.

I think that game would be more widely remembered if we'd actually turned up at the tournament. Although Scholesy scored our first goal at the Tournament proper as well.

Also hat trick vs Poland at Wembley in the same campaign. (we qualified for the play-offs on our head-to-head record vs Poland)
