Oddly omitted.
Hard to pick one, but Emre Can's is a bit special. Andy Carroll not far behind, then maybe Rooney's.
Thoughts ?
I remeber that from Hugo Sanchez. Maradona, what an artist.Leaving the "best goal" aside, thought they did scored some beauties here they are:
Hugo Sanchez: the bicycle kick scorer:
Diego Maradona: the bicycle kick passer (and some goal from time to time):
I don't remember that one but Cavani had an amazing one for Napoli against Barca that was disallowedFalcao in some friendly game
Utterly bizarre logic.I liked Cahill's, Carbone, Berbatov and Can's the most as they are not the obvious decision to make in that situation, they are marked and still pull it off.
Garnacho is in acres of space and has no choice but to try it to even get a touch on it.
Exactly, Garnacho showed no invention whatsoever. Next time if he wants to score a real worldie, he needs to get close to defenders to make it look better.I liked Cahill's, Carbone, Berbatov and Can's the most as they are not the obvious decision to make in that situation, they are marked and still pull it off.

I am not saying it's shit goal. Christ, some of you take this stuff massively seriously.Exactly, Garnacho showed no invention whatsoever. Next time if he wants to score a real worldie, he needs to get close to defenders to make it look better.
Was gonna say this one, shame he was injured so often as he was a decent player on his day.Dean Cashton scored a cracker against us. I remember a fair few united fans clapping in appreciation.
Good on you saying that the goal that will probably be named goal of the season "isn't a shit goal".I am not saying it's shit goal. Christ, some of you take this stuff massively seriously.
Ah, I did wonder why that was omitted, didn't realise it was the FA Cup (and for some reason I had it in my head that it was against us, I must have be mixing up the red shirts). IMO it's better than any in the PL's top 10, considering he's quite a distance away from the flight of the ball and has to run on to it, and still hits it so cleanly. Was gonna say Trevor sinclair but that was FAC
Still, always worth a watch
Hugo made an habit of scoring with bicycle kicks, that in itself it's quite different from pulling out one a couple of times in a carreer, a real bicycle kick master. Diego was Diego, the way he pulls out those form nothing or from a random rejection and use them as a tool to create an assist it's just pure genius.I remeber that from Hugo Sanchez. Maradona, what an artist.
That was an amazing goal.Another outside of the PL was a beauty from Philippe Mexes for Milan, was around the time of the Ibra one and is possibly better.

Plus Martial scored a wonder goal of his own in that game. On his debut, no less.Benteke's is probably the most underrated. Was a ridiculously clean strike but from memory it was only a late consolation so no one overly cared about it much
Had it in my head there was another screamer as I was at that game but I was too lazy to look it up. Martial indeedPlus Martial scored a wonder goal of his own in that game. On his debut, no less.
That’s what is so astounding as well about Maradona. Any player that tries a bicicleta for the top corner every once in a blue moon (or red), is gonna get some sort of acceptance for the audacity of going for absolute gold and forgiveness because it’s nigh on impossible.Hugo made an habit of scoring with bicycle kicks, that in itself it's quite different from pulling out one a couple of times in a carreer, a real bicycle kick master. From recent times, Rooney, Bale, Cristiano and Garnacho recently made superb goals in "normal" game situations.
Ibra's one it's really a fecking great goal, but it's closer to a let me hit this now while the keeper its not in the goal than anything and see what happens, of course it takes Ibra's outstanding athletism to pull it out, but he hit the ball badly we would have like it anyway and smile just for trying it.
Even with the extraordinary technique, there is always an element of some kind of safety net with this kind of goals and those from very long distances when keepers left their natural position that as great as those are, it takes a bit of "value" for lack of better word.
On the other hand when Rooney, Bale, Cristiano and Garnacho tried their overheads, man you could end being quite ridiculized for not evaluating more sensible options or falling in your arse in an spectacular way and blew a chance or a more sensible play to achive a goal.
That's why even if Hugo might not have the best ever, him throwing them with such expertize and accuracy like nothing time and again deserves even more credit.
