- Of course I'm not 'proud' of what they showed... or didn't show... But a win is a win, and in the end I can only be happy about that!

- I just hope they'll pull themself together in the next matches!

Agreed... it's equal terms for both teams in such a match... But I believe every team would find it appropiate if they dissapointed with such a loss (??)

Can't believe how shit the organisation is

Heard something about the Icelandic team being offered an airplane-garage, with a leaking roof, for practice!?

What have you heard that's also out of the ordinary?

Nothing but the water on the floors and the score/time-boards not working...

One of the first days they had to drive 300 km's to get a new cable in order to get the scoreboards to work... when they had it installed, noone really knew how to use it!
- A disaster in itself as I see the time being very important in handball!

The thing about the Icelandic team... a 'kin disgrace!

 - Can't be true...

(Yes... C. Andersen is ugly!)

- Why is it there's something special about Hundvin?? - Is it because she's a lesbo that makes her more interesting?? - I don't see anything special in her tbh...

She's not a lesbo tho. She's more interesting to me now than she was 6 months ago.

Have you seen her 'off the pitch'? Very nice - interesting personality as well unlike most sports peeps

Iceland beat Portugal 29-28 in a nerve wrecking match !

Some insane refs tried to ruin it for everybody, especially us though, but the lads prevailed :D :D

I think it was 2 or 3 players... Rabbit and squids were served, and the Swedish doctor said something about "We're not used to that kinda food up north" - Surely it's their own fault... I thought they were professional enough to order the 'normal' food for sportsmen like rice and pasta!

Well, I don't know about the whole team but Wislander (our second most important player and voted the best ever handballer) and one of our goalkeepers (our goalies usually plays half the match each) were ill, or might still be.

The same thing happened at another tournament a few years ago. Most of the players were ill but somehow they got over it and went on to win the tournament...

I can't see that happening this year. I'm not a great handball fan but it's obvious that our team is lacking confidence. We lost, lost, lost and lost again in the warm up matches (maybe to Iceland?).

We might still turn things around but for us to have a decent chance of reaching the semi-finals we cannot afford to lose against the Danes.

I must say tho that I thought much less of handball as a sport when Sweden got a German goal disallowed by breaking the rules in the last second of the European Championships final last year (we won after overtime). Surely there must be something wrong with a sport where you could actually benefit from breaking the rules...

well I had the TV on with the sound turned down and listened to Valtýr Björn on Útvarp Saga so I didn't miss much when that happened.

Valtýr was hilarious
not everyday you hear someone swear and curse on the radio

Strange rules, ey??

- Heard something about the only way Sweden can get further in this WC is to play a draw against Denmark later today...

yeah the rules are absurd..
Iceland are playing Germany now in a totally meaningless match as neither will take the points from this game with them to the next round. The only meaning in this game (besides being a good practice) is to determine who will face Spain and who will face Yugoslavia..

I've stood in the meaning we'd take the points with us, are you sure about this?

The game agains Spain will be nerve-wrecking!
