yes, the points you take with you to the next round are the points you earned against the team who goes with you. As we beat Qatar then we take those 2 points with us.

So the Swedes are unlucky.. they topped their group but lost to Slovenia and as Slovenia finished 3rd and go with them to the next round the Swedes go with no points and Slovenia with 2 !

absurd system.

But to be more honest. I don't think Swedes in general have much against Danes (do they're impossible to understand when talking).

Sweden - Norway is more of a love-hate relationship.

I think the German team would be disappointed not to win the gold. France and Denmark are most likely to challenge according to the experts.

For Danish people Norway is just the crazy people up north everybody likes... the Swedes on the other hand is like our brothers... really anoying at times, but we still 'love' them ;)
- Actually there have been small wars between these countries, which is why there's extra 'hate' involved when we meet in different kind of sports...

But I think that the relationship have slightly become better in recent years, do to the increased contact between the countries (ie. Øresundsbroen) :)

I'm always supporting Denmark & Norway whenever they play someone else. Norweigans can be somewhat irritating since they seem to beat us at every sport nowadays but it is all a friendly banter.

Sweden vs Finland in hockey is another thing though. That's war and we never take prisoners! <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

I remember being in Denmark and seeing a T-shirt with a picture of a map. The map showed all the Scandinavian countries..Iceland, Norway, Faroe Islands, Finland, Denmark..but Sweden was missing. It was just ocean.

According to the owner of the T-shirt, he didn't miss it much, having Sweden on his chest that is.

Danes deserved to win, I hate the Russians.

I don't see us winning Spain. It's going to be an even match in the beginning, then Spain will go 4 goals ahead before halftime. In second half they will go 6 goals ahead of us but in our stubbornness we will catch them and when there is 13 minutes left it will be 19-19. After that Spain starts scoring goals again and they win 32-26. :(
