Harry Kane | "I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100% focused on helping the team achieve success."

So we're getting kane, sancho, a DM and a CB? Gonna be a good season
#21 and #4 would be on the way if we pulled that off but unfortunately real life isn't manager mode :(

Unless we have some sort of massive clearance which I highly doubt

Genuinely offering Martial and/or Lingard could be a tempter for Spurs. They'll obviously be desperate to sign goalscorers to replace the chasm of goals they'd be missing if Kane left.

City's backups are too good to be offered in deals like this. Also all paid far too much to go to Spurs, though Martial is in the same sort of situation.
I actually think both Lingard and Martial would be good signings for them. Both offer them something different. Could see Lingard, Son and Martial linking up nicely.

It'd be nice to have our own Sol Campbell to laud over Spurs fans for the next 2 two decades. But Levy probably sell us a virus.

Spurs need the cash and other clubs know it. Might not be as hard as people think to negotiate with them.

they'd absolutely walk the league with Kane. Win it by a landslide
Aye they'd walk Europe too with him...

Already on the verge of winning it without a real no.9 :wenger:

Aguero has hardly played this season before anyone shouts him

I think he would be perfect for City's forward line. :nervous:
He’d be perfect here too! We’ve signed zlatan and Cavani years past their prime, we should be going all out for this guy. Don’t think we stand much chance against a city side with his goals.
This is RVP levels of importance where he moves next. If it isn’t us then it cannot be another English club.

He makes far more sense to City than Haaland ever did. Wonderful footballer. I’d rather 3 signings with Sancho than 2 with Kane though.

Yeah I wouldn't disagree with that if the other two were Varane and decent CDM otherwise I would actually edge towards Kane and two even though we have needed a proper RW for EIGHT years

Not saying it's the right thing to do but Utd will easily drop signing Varane/Sancho for Kane probably both, so what would people feel about that as those two play in positions we badly need to address this summer

Mbappe to Madrid, flog Martial to PSG and use that money to get sancho. VDB plus 90m for Kane. Lingard plus 40m for Rice. Varane for 35m. Heaton on a free. Sell James, Axel, De Gea, Dalot, Matic and Pereira. Promote Laird and Garner. 110m net spend and best squad in Europe. Build statue of Woody. Win trophies. Simple.

This is like when Van Persie became available - whoever signs him wins the league next season.

Does Cavani's new contract means that we even will not try to go for this guy? I hope it does not

Not a prayer he's coming here.

He doesn't want the uncertainty of a "project". He'll want guaranteed medals, City and Guardiola can more or less guarantee that.

I think the finances will get in the way of him leaving this summer to any team. With Cavani extended and Haaland available next summer I don't think we will get involved now. City have never spent so much on one player. Chelsea are probably the team with the greatest need for no.9 but again, I'm not sure they will spend £130m+ on one player.

My prediction is he stays and Levy agrees to sell for a set price next summer, possibly circa £100m.

Was believable until you said Varane for £35m as think it will take around £50m plus addons

Man City dont spend big money on players, they spend in 60-70 reigon.
And Pep said that if they are spending 100 mil (which is only in his world "big signing") that that player is for next 10 years.
So...for 70 mil you just buy for short term

Coming to United and being THE man to bring the title back to Old Trafford would mean a lot more than 3 more titles that City would have won anyway.

Come to the club with history and heritage Harry and do something truly memorable :D

Much as it pains me to admit it that is hard to argue with

It feels like if we go for Kane we're just throwing the transfer plans out the window. Kane wont even be as prolific for us as he would for some other teams because he is only getting service from the left side and nothing from the right.

Last year of his contract - nobody is paying close to 50m for him. But tbh if we signed Kane and Sancho I’d take giving Phil Jones another crack at centre back

Yeah I could cope with McFred & Magalof (hate that name) IF we pulled off that miracle but this isn't FM and things like that just don't happen in real life for us under these leeching yankee scumbags

I think top of Kane's list will be Man City.

He's desperate for trophies..

I don't think City will come close to putting in the fee we would. Can see it being Maguire like in the way it pans out.

I think Haaland is better for the astronomical amounts both would cost. It's not guaranteed by any means given the agent involved but there's a chance we could keep Haaland for far longer and also a better chance he'll still be fit and firing at the end of a long term deal.

We don't know what Kane will have left in 3-4 years. As boring as it is compared to the initial enthusiasm surrounding whether one of these can push us towards a title, it does matter..we don't have endless reserves of finances. It makes a difference whether there is a sellable asset at the end of it as well as longevity.

Both are fantastic players but I would have thought something like this would matter to the money men.

I know, we have nothing that comes close to the service that Steven Bergwijn was serving up on the right for Spurs earlier this season.

Where does he get service from at Tottenham?

It's not like he has peak Beckham and Giggs feeding him.

He'd consume our entire summer budget and then some. I'd rather we missed out on Kane if it meant we signed a CB, DM and a RW/Sancho.
