No, his legacy is intact.

Tom Brady is having a stinker this season and it won't tarnish his legacy. Jordan's stint with the Wizards at the end of his career didn't tarnish his legacy.

At least Ronaldo is still trying to do it in the best league in the world, while Messi plays on an all-star team in a farmer's league.

All of that being said doesn't change the reality that Ronaldo IS done at this level and it'd be best for all parties if he moved on in January.
Don't forget Lebron James! Lakers are currently bottom of the western conference with 0-5 start!!

And people still argue his actions are made more of than they should. Ronaldo once again coming across unnecessarily to create drama just because Neville said he’s not as good as he used to be. Such a sensitive soul.

Man child.

This is Manchester United related?

And I don't think struggling in the PL is a positive. Messi is probably happier continuing to be the better player.

You know there are 2 things wrong with your post:

1. Goals maybe the most important thing in a game of football but given that it is a team sport, a footballer cannot be considered the best of all when he is elite at only one aspect of the game and relatively mediocre at others.

2. He may be playing in a "farmers league" but Messi is playing at a level Ronaldo never has, even in his prime. And as a matter of fact always has throughout his career. Ronaldo is a great goalscorer (and based on that and his longevity/success is a great of the game) but Messi is and has always been the better allround footballer by a margin.

To be fair he was neveer going to shake hands or greet anyone apart from Saha, Redknapp just wanted to do it.

Ronaldo didn't shake hands with the presenter, with Neville, too. I'm pretty sure they greeted later anyway.

Media love such stories, don;'t they?

C’mon, he blatantly avoided him.

Neville was stood in the same place last time when Carra got blanked and Ronaldo made a conscious effort to go and give Neville a handshake and hug.

Ronaldo knew exactly what he was doing.

9 out of 10 times its always deliberate whether its ronaldo or someone else.

It also displays a fragile ego.

Ten Hag needs to put an end to these pre-match ego trips.
no more running to the skysports presenters to make sure you're seen.

Ten Hag has managed this situation very well overall, but I honestly think but for all the drama of the last few weeks Ronaldo doesn’t play 90 minutes today.

He’s probably thinking at this point it’s not worth the aggro and better to just get through to the World Cup / transfer window, which on balance is probably the best strategy right now.

On performance alone though, he should not be lasting a full match like that where we need energy and to wrest back control. His lack of pressing was inviting way too much pressure on ourselves in the second half.
