How many clubs have outspent us this summer? Villa, Nottingham Forest, West Ham, Spurs, Arsenal etc etc. This club is an embarrassment at all levels but for ten Hag who had to inherit a complete mess. The fact his people are now briefing to the media of their disappointment in the transfer window is alarming. This is the new club structure that some of you have been talking up. Where the feck are all of you now? This type of support of the club is parasitic in its own way, as it continues to enable and empower the powers running the club.

Quite some accusation from Shearer on MoTD that the club purposely leaked the Arnautovic story before moving to sign him to see how fans/others would react

Things will never improve unless we add a Sporting Director and a head of recruitment that are experienced enough to handle a high staff turnover both in and outs. Our players know that whatever happens their job is safe simply because the club is unable to sell them and tend to struggle to add more then 4-5 players per year

Yep. The structure is weird.

Finally get a footballing man in a good position but it's one who has never done it before and learns on the job again. It's confusing

Surely United are going to show some passion this week and show us that they're desperate behind the scenes to get some quality in

I expect huge rumours and massive muppet celebrations every single day because the club needs to start showing its hand

Obviously the more likely is that this time next week, we still won't have signed anyone

What do you lot think this week holds?

Yeah. We were spoiled. Panicking when the window doesn't even close until the end of August. Just wanting shiny new toys all the time.

I think the most scary thing is the most of the players we are linked to are well known players who are on downward spiral and are overrated an not interested in joining unless we pay them more than anybody else would pay like Icardi, Rabiot and Morata

I would really prefer to see it was players like Raul de Tomas which I saw a link to this morning. Do not really know much about him but stats seams OK. But where is the link to the CM (CDM) players we desperately needs.

I am still waiting for us to sign a defensive midfielder that can both control the game and boss the rest around. We seriously need someone in the middle to tell the rest to start working their ass off.
Maybe players like that is not available and therefore we need 2. A fdj playmaker type and someone who can will give directions to the rest and really lead by example.

If we eventually fix our center midfield we will also be able to see exactly who in the team are the real weak points. People have mentioned almost all the players on the team as bad players but I think that if the center is strong we might just see improvement from some areas.

When the center is missing everyone next to them is affected.
Our CB are not protected and cannot pass the ball out of without a big risk us loosing the ball and getting a counter against us.
Our LB and RB do not get support in defense and do not have a good passing posibility in the middle and therefore put a long ball up the line.
Our AM and wings need to know they have cover in defense and get passes they need in areas we they can actually do creative actions and supply our CF with the changes needed instead of having to go back in less ideal positions in order to get the ball.

Fix the center and let us then see who needs replacing.

I mean it would be incredible if we went another week without anything. The inactivity is mind boggling.

I wasn't expecting a brilliant transfer window, but fecking hell I never imagined it would be this much of a calamity. It beggars belief just how utterly incompetent this club is

Pretty sure it will be Rabiot and nothing else. Doesn't mean that he will be ready against Liverpool as medicals and visa stuff still need to be sorted out. We will just see an announcement is my guess.

Unfortunately we also have a reputation as a graveyard for young talent too as we never play them.

Mejbri - got him from Monaco as a 16yo for €5-10m, not getting a sniff.
Fernandez - send him on loan after buying another young left back.
Amad - one of the most expensive teenagers in Premier Leafue history, no a sniff.
Sancho - £73m and has been poorly coached for thebkast year.
Henderson - academy lad, messed around and is seemingly desperate to never come back
Martial - signed as a prodigy as a teen, coached poorly throughout his development years, constantly signing old strikers, taking his shirt number away from him etc.
Rashford - academy lad, poorly coached again through his development years.
Bailly - young CB prospect, again, poorly coached.
Lindelof - same as Bailly.
Shaw - same as above, and one of the most expensive teenagers in the Premier.

It's not all United fault, but it doesn't look good for prospects who want to progress, so we're left with mercenaries like Rabiot.
Just to add that every player who has joined us in recent years, has got worse after arriving.
I believe Ibrahimovic and Ronaldo have been the only players resistant to this virus.
The latest victim of this is Bruno F. He resisted the virus for 18 months and since last year, he has also deteriorated.

The employees of the club need to be replaced, from top to bottom. I am not the kind of person who likes to fire people, but that is the only way this situation is going to improve.
The CEO and DOF both need to be fired and replaced asap. They got rid of Ralf R, who was the perfect man to restructure the club and replace employees (including playing staff, ie. transfers). These 2 buffoons believed that they could do better and the results are now there for everybody to see.

The way the club is being run into the ground is depressing and soul-destroying. I am in my 40s and I know what to expect, but there are young fans who genuinely believe in the work that these buffoons are doing and were absolutely convinced after the infamous "pub interview", that we were heading in the right direction. The truth is that we are run by incompetent people who in any other industry would be fired quickly. At MUFC though, these types of people are allowed to keep their job and run the club into the ground.

And before anybody says that I am being harsh on these buffoons - IMO I am not being hard enough. They deserve all the abuse they get. If they had any shame, they'd either hire a competent DOF or they'd resign. Shameless!!!

I am absolutely livid with what is going on. We have lost 6 out of our last 8 league games and fans are still optimistic because they are too hurt to face the reality of what is going on.
We shall soon play Liverpool and I expect nothing but humiliation. And after the humiliation, our fans will still cling on to hope (ie. new transfers will revive our fortunes).

Anyway, I'll stop before I go too far.

When the hell are we actually going to see some players signed?!
I'm 99% sure that we'll get some desperation signings before the window closes.
And I am 99% sure that those signings will make little to no difference.
Until the club is restructured and incompetent people are fired, this farce will continue.

My advice is to have an open mind on less well known quantities such as Tomas/Cunha rather than some just writing them off straight away.

Think we will see us linked to a host of different players in priority positions over next three weeks with much of it pure agent talk.

They had a chance to appoint a competent DOF but yet again took that jobs for the boys option.

Did anyone really expect Woodward's understudies - Arnold and Murtough - to do better? They were here throughout this disastrous decade, it wasn't all Woodward and they weren't just innocent bystanders.

Glazers' lackeys doing Glazers things. Club continues to sink.

Have to say, given some of the names bandied around in the past couple of weeks, I'd take Vardy and/or Aubameyang with pleasure (well, OK, a bit of a smile and sigh of relief). Don' think I've even heard of Cunha before this week...

And according to the Mirror the players have begged bosses to get signings done - let's hope the comedy duo listen more to them than us...

On a brighter note, who'd have thought we'd only be two points behind the Scousers at this stage of the season?!

To anybody with some financial understanding at this level, how can we have £50m cash in the bank and realistically be able to make signings like FDJ?

What is our budget under FFP? Are we borrowing money to make signings?

Neville mentioned this and how we've gone from £350m in the bank, to £50m. Surely that is unsustainable?

Cash flow is never constant. Purchases are spread out over years, so you could be buying 5 players worth 50M with no more than 50M in the bank if the first installment on all deals is 10M. A business are big as United will have operating income coming through revenue streams like sponsorships, TV and match day in the same piecemeal manner.

How likely is it that selling clubs will be accepting so little up front though? Or can they register the full amount on their accounts?

Is £50m normal and healthy for a club our size? I'd love to know what the other top PL clubs look like, along with Bayern Munich etc

Every fecking year timeline on CAF is the same.
June; optimism and calling names to those who think that we are doing badly.
July; lots of people still defending club and trying to find positive things.
August; reality hits

Every fecking year!
That’s because we always leave it until the bitter end to sign anyone. Most clubs get their business done before the season starts (or majority of it) nah, not us. We love a deadline day Cavani. 3 games into the season and fielding the same team as last year except 2. The worst team we have ever had and we’ve added 2 starters.

no wonder multiple people are having meltdowns. I’m close.

Skint because our parasite owners are draining us . And on the pitch we are a shambles too and can't afford to really change it significantly . These are dark days brothers and sisters .
