I havent seen it in three years. Im pretty I havent missed anything. Everyone in the show is annoying as feck except Barney. I cant believe they are actually still on the air.
It used to be decent though. I haven't watched it in a long time as well.

Decent episode... Started off really well and all the bits with Barney were funny, but with Ted and Marshall there were all the cringe moments. At least Ted finally gave up (apparently).

Does he give up though? I bet they will put more twists in it, they can't just leave him to give up half a dozen episodes from the end, surely? Good episode, Robin flying away after Ted lets go was beyond cringeworthy sadly. Shame they didn't make Lilly feel guilty for longer too, that was so satisfying

That was terrible. I had to look away from all the cringe
But I think Ted is done and they'll leave the last 6 episodes to actually meet and get to know the mother and everything.

I reckon the writers of this show have terrible relationships. Lilly is offered her dream job and she just gives up on it because her husband got a better one? They didn't even bring up the possibility of her going to Milan by herself, fecked up shit man.

Yay more Ted-Robin! That must be the 8765th time Ted's finally let go of her.

That was a terrible episode. Only the Barney bits were decent.

I am absolutely livid with Marshall for letting Lily get off that easily. She deserves to stew for a couple of episodes... or years.

The other bits were shite too, except for Barney. Once again he saves the show.

I watched up until I saw Ted and Robin walking on the beach, then I said nope, bugger this, I'm done.

Haven't seen this for a while (I think the last I watched was the one before the poetry one that everyone hated, or maybe the one before that).

Did catch the episode where they're all racing to a restaurant on E4 though. That's a good one, especially the Marshall vs. The Machines song.

He 'let go' of her and she floated away like the balloon he lost as a child.

It was quite possibly the worst scene in television history.

No, nothing beats the rhymes they did in that previous episode, some of those were heartbreaking. It is up there though.

I find her a bit weird looking.
I agree, don't think she's attractive at all, just weird. And not a good weird.

I refuse to believe that they did that (haven't seen the episode yet).

For me the worst episode this season was the training of the slap one, it was so tacky and unfunny, realy shit. The rhyming one is a very close second. All the rest have been poor as well except maybe one but I'm not sure which.

This season is possibly the worst season of HIMYM, and that's with the Mother in it. I don't remember earlier seasons being this bad. I could be wrong however; I remember seasons 6/7 being pretty bad.

That Robin balloon scene with the Bangles as background music was just embarrassing. I just burst out laughing in pity, especially seeing as there was no canned laughter in the background.

I'm gonna carrying on watching but only because it's the last season and I've devoted a lot of time into watching it and keeping up with it. Surely, it can't get any worse than this. The more Mother shown, the better.

Here's a fun fact for people if they didn't already know. Sandy Rivers is married to Lilly in real life, one of Barney's work colleagues "Blauman" is married to Robin in real life, and Lilly's boyfriend Scooter is married to Barney in real life. Ted also dated one of his old flames in the tv show, the one who chatted too much and was Chinese, in real life. Very incestuous cast.

Anything good happen since they did the 'How I Met Your Father' episode?
The episode is quite good in comparison to the previous episodes due to Barney continuing to be drunk, but had the cringiest scene in tv history. Basically Robin and Ted spend all of their time talking about how he loves her, then Robin tells him "you should let go", and she drifts away (literally) like a balloon, gives a cheesy smile in mid-air and vanishes. Makes you want to jump off the roof of a really really tall building watching it, never again.

Oh yeah, and Lilly and Marshall make up after he spends the entire episode talking to Lillusions (Lilly illusions). He says he's sorry, as does she and decides not to move to Italy. Possibly the biggest letdown of the show that he didn't completely go to town on her and her selfishness. Come to think of it, it was a bad episode....

My flat is on the 28th floor of my building. There was a real risk the day I watched that episode...

They have really sucked the life out of the Lily character. At the beginning she was very fun, spunky and unique. Now she's just some boring typical TV wife which makes you happy you aren't married.

The latest episode pretty much confirms the notion that she's going to die. Shame.

That moment confused me so much! So was it implying she is going to die, or that Ted's mother died before his wedding (Kind of defeats the object of the "Mother not making her daughter's wedding" statement though).

But if you are right there, then it goes in favour of my theory of how it all ends.

If that happens the only explanation is that they saw the end of Dexter and thought "we can do worse".

Maybe the mother's mother died horribly right before her and Ted's wedding?

I'd be ok with that.

There's also the comment she made about not wanting Ted to be one of those people who live in stories about their past.

I think it implied that both Ted and the mother knew that she wouldn't be able to make it to their daughter's wedding. An illness is the most likely scenario I think.

Would be a terrible ending in itself if that's the case after 9 seasons. The only it could be worse is if Ted and Robin get together after the mother dies...:nervous:

Ahhhhhh, that is such a good point, well thought out. God, what a morbid episode that has turned out to be then!

I did predict ages ago that Ted and Robin would get back together after the mother would die (Similar sitcoms like friends and scrubs love to do this shit).
