Breaking the boundaries of imagination here, but alas, you may even go as far as adding who you think the signing(s) will be.

2, Mané and Griezmann, the latter for the simple fact that he has a buy out clause, fits the bill as a fast and pacy striker and Atletico have bought in a tonne of strikers this season so would not be as averse to selling this late in the window as other big clubs.

If not Griezmann, an outside chance that van Gaal and Ibra will surprisingly put aside their grudge for a year to win us everything.
 
0. Lack of readily available options out there and van Gaal seems content with this squad for the moment.
 
No clue about names. Although I got a feeling we may get a big one at the last moment and then it, of course, depends on the GK situation.

Pedro was a genuine target, and we couldn't get him. Mane may well be a genuine target, but Southampton won't sell this late in the window, and if they do, it will be for significantly higher fee than Pedro went for, which we will balk at.

I don't see us turning to a new target this late on.
 
I still have faith in Griezmann or Muller being signed on Deadline Day with a fee that will shock the footballing world.

I reckon we're one signing away from the title. A big name forward player will give us that massive push.

So to answerer your question - one signing.
 
Can't see us signing any, but I'm not part of the pessimism doom and & gloom camp as I'm happy as we are.. We could improve but I don't think the right players are available anymore.
 
I think the question should be: 'How many more players will we missout on before sept 1st (because LVG and Woody are incompetent village idiots, letting City and Chelsea perform like propa studs in the transfer market, while we piss around like bumnuts)
 
I am hoping for one more... Griezmann (or someone like him). Still hoping De Gea stays so we wouldn't need a keeper if he does. Probably nobody though.
 
I will be honest...I am trying my best not to be pessimistic. The eternal optimist in me thinks that we might have a chance at getting one of either Griezmann, Muller, or Bale. I don't have any expectations of a CB at this point and I really feel that we will end up caving into Real and selling DDG before the end of the window. In which case we will look like quite the mug especially in light of the Pedro debacle (of which I don't understand LvG's stance of stating he wasn't interested from the beginning...which makes us look more like mugs) and would be even worse if we don't bring someone in of the caliber I listed above.

We wouldn't buy Mane and Griezmann, would we? Surely one or the other if we are going to but either of them.
 
I've love Ibrahimovic but I think LVG is happy with Rooney, Hernandez, Wilson and Fellaini. I think we'll get one more. I think we won't sell De Gea.

I reckon we are trying for a marquee player but these loves are unlikely this late.
 
Depends on De Gea I think. If he leaves, we'll probably press Ajax hard for Cillessen. If we keep him - which I think is likely at this point - we'll sign no one. I can't take the Mané rumours seriously and we're not really being linked with anyone else since the collapse of the Pedro deal.
 
I don't think we will sign any more players this window although I think Rooney needs some help up front.
 
I genuinely think we are not buying anyone else unless someone like Muller suddenly becomes available (which is highly unlikely so late in the window).
 
I used to have our resident Professor on ignore but now he is my favorite poster. Voted 2 players.
 
Surprised at the amount who think we'll actually sign more. Of course I don't know any more than the average joe on here, but I just get the aura that we're happy with what we have. Have a sense of when Fergie was here and you just know that we were done in the market.

Think we are happy, but will push for something big. That might just be me being hopeful, but I expect that Woodward would like to laugh the loudest on Sept 1st and will load the scatter gun to see which star he can land.
