How Many Signings Before Sept 1

I'll go with 3. Two midfielders and a goalkeeper.

My thinking on this is the owners need this franchise to win to push the value up. If the team is on the upswing by January they look a lot better in sale. That's the kind of thing that would push them to action so I expect we see a few.

If it's not about the sale then it might be 0. That's a dark thought though and I am currently convincing myself there's a chance they want to sell.

I reckon we’ll get 4. Including loans. It’ll be like the year we signed Amad, Pellestri, Cavani in the last week a couple of seasons before. Frantic ending. Very poorly planned window.

And end up selling 1-2 players + maybe 1-2 outgoing loans.

Honestly just give me Jimmy boy and I'll be happy. That's all I want.

Ideally I’d take at least three players. Casameiro and SMS, to play in a three with Eriksen. Moving Bruno to the attack rotation. And Antony. That would give us 5 options in midfield (Casameiro, SMS, Eriksen, Fred, McTominay) and 5 options in attack (Rashford, Sancho, Martial, Antony, Bruno). I’d move heaven and earth to ship out Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Jones, Van der Beek, and Ronaldo permanently. Pretty much a pipe dream though this late in the window. If it had been the strategy from the start, we’d be so much better off right now, and would’ve been eminently achievable with sufficient outgoings.

Next window/summer, top priority would be GK and RB to fit the system, and potentially a CF depending on how those five perform. I’d see Bruno as a RW option in tougher games, as a playmaking forward.
Thats 200million quid to be spent in the next 2 weeks? The Glazers will need to be robbing their grandkids' piggybanks to scrape up that sort of dosh.

United minus the Glazers
I don't think we'll get anyone in. I've lost hope for this season. It may be a tad premature but our forays into the transfer market have been nothing but disastrous. Bring on the next season and a new owner!

Glazers will need and want Arnold to spend if they want to put United in a favourable position to sell.

If the club is really for sale this or maybe loans
Does a transfer embargo become a thing when selling a portion of the club? Suit the Glazers from buying anyone and also saying you wanted us to sell and this is a consequence of that.

Realistically, maybe Meunier and Pulisic on loan. Throw in Vardy if we sell Ronaldo. It’s going to be shit.

Panic mode yet again. I expect a striker and a midfield player but both will be like the 5th choice in a list. I don’t know if it is worth spending money on 5th choices. It shows absolutely no confidence in the own academy set up. If we have to settle with 5th choice then I believe the best players in the academy have at a minimum the same level as those 5th choice players we end up buying.
So basically it is just being wasteful because we’re rich

We have to ignore the signings, it is probably to take our attention away from ownership issues. No matter who joins Mbappe, Neymar or Messi. We shouldn't care. They will probably sign 4-5 new players to calm the fanbase and distract us.

We may sign like a reserve keeper, a loan player (pulisic), some mid thirties player in whichever position and some random player. So I would say 3 or potentially 4

So despite me saying “ideally” and that it would never be possible at this stage of the window, making it perfectly clear that it was infeasible - just desirable - you still found the need to shoot it down like it was a realistic suggestion? Got it. Thanks for bringing me back to reality.

As they say, hope is what keeps us alive. It's the reality that kills. ;)

It depends on the result against Pool. If we win, no signings. If we lose, 1 signing. If we lose badly, 3 signings.

None, with the news that the Glazers are looking for a minority investor then they'll likely use that as an excuse not to invest in the team, just like hiring an interim last November and waiting for a full time manager was the excuse not to invest in January.

There will always be a reason no to push the boat out and make United competitive.

Planning for 5/6...if we can sign 4 from this point I'll feel better. 5 or 6 and I might even look forward to a potential top 4 finish
Your deluded if you think we are going to sign 5 or 6 more players. Not a chance. We've already signed 3 this window.

None unless you're including the three we've already got.

I hope 1, that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is going to buy the club. Not a part of it but the whole club. The rest I don't care at the moment because it wouldn't make a difference. United had to be more active in the first few weeks of the transfermarket. Now a lot of signings will be useless.

So I am hoping on Sir Jim Ratcliffe and we start the season with this squad. I am hoping we don't relegate and we will see next summer what we can do.

We could do with at least 4.

We'll get at least on midfielder and another forward in I think.

4 more but they’ll all be underwhelming

Loan Pulisic

Sign Belotti on a free

Backup GK who’s as shit as DDG with crosses and kicking

Last day Rabiot revival

Total spend about 25m for the four of them combined
