Don't know. Admittedly he aint the player he was. The gulf in what he was and is now, was all for see when we plaved Juventus in the CL game.
That said, he is still a big player.

Physically I don't think he can cope with a long season. In the 02/03 season he picked up an injury around the new year mark and up to that point imo he had been the best player in the league imo. Then however he struggled and instead of resting he tried to play through pain. In the first half of a match he would absolutely dominate everything but around the 55-60 min mark he would rapidly fade.
I think that injury had a much bigger effect then we had orginally thought because after having surgery he was never the same player.
As to how I'd feel if you signed him, well good luck to you but it would also show that you couldn't get your real targets so had to settle for him. If you had signed him 6 years ago I would have been beside myself with rage but he isn't as good as he was 6 years ago....

Vieira aint like that any more. Your harping on about his early years with us. At which point he/we had a big problem, I believe Wenger pulled him aside and told him he was no go to the club if he was unable to play.
I don't know if anyone has access to stats here, but if you do, check out the amount of reds he had in his early days with the Arsenal against what he is getting now and what he got in the last couple of seasons with us.
you must understand that the old lady cannot give vieira anymore satisfaction by playing in the lower tier.
