There's an element of that, isn't there. But loads of great players have faced that accusation down the years.Selfish stat padder haha

No will replicate Sachin's form from 97-99 stint. Sachin & Viv will forever be the ODI batting GOATs. Kohli can be no.3Ehh. ODIs today and 20 years ago are essentially different games. He will go down as the GOAT, but as somebody that saw the 90s. I'd say that ODIs today aren't nearly as much as a contest. My two cents is that nobody from the last 10-15 years can be the batting GOAT. And this isn't counting Viv who was the outlier in the 80s as well.
Let NZ bat. The Indian bowlers aren't off to a great start. What a one-sided WC this has turned into. A procession for India.
2015 was the same, just that Oz that loss in group stages against NZ that made people think that NZ had a chance in the finals. ODI is just a dead format IMO, time to retire it for T20s and Tests. What a one-sided WC this has turned into. A procession for India.
I really like the idea of 2 inning T20s. Sachin had proposed something like it sometime back.2015 was the same, just that Oz that loss in group stages against NZ that made people think that NZ had a chance in the finals. ODI is just a dead format IMO, time to retire it for T20s and Tests.
Yeah, NZ might get a great platform to make things interesting and put pressure on Indias bowlers / fieldersLet NZ bat. The Indian bowlers aren't off to a great start.
It's tough to survive because of DRS. So you may as well just try and score runs while you're out there - that's the way I see it.It's still very format dependent.
Look at openers averages in the English summer, even with our Bazball success. Its tough out there.
No point even watching the final.Aus/SA need to win the toss, bat first and score 400 in the finals.. the only way to make it interesting.
Swinging all over the place.Doesn't look like a slow paced pitch anymore
Ahmedabad is a bit different. But today game was over as soon as India won the toss. Batting first and taking advantage of swing under lights at Wankhede was the only chance NZ had.Aus/SA need to win the toss, bat first and score 400 in the finals.. the only way to make it interesting.
Yes that was my biggest fear with this groundAhmedabad is a bit different. But today game was over as soon as India won the toss. Batting first and taking advantage of swing under lights at Wankhede was the only chance NZ had.
Will need 2 of them at this rateCan Aus loan Maxwell to NZ for the evening?
His career SR is in the 70s iirc.Has Williamson ever not gone at a snails pace for a chase?
Will young. Ravindra actually came in for Kane and did well, so young got benchedHis career SR is in the 70s iirc.
Who have they dropped for him?
Young the opener. Problem isn’t who they dropped but the fact they moved Rachin from 3 to opening just to accommodate this wasteman. His career SR is in the 70s iirc.
Who have they dropped for him?
Exactly. All the jokers talking about this being one sided don't have a clue.NZ look like theyre trying to give it a go, so fair play
This muppet desperately trying to get out
They've picked it up, going at over 8 an over now for the last 5NZ have a base but the run rate is becoming an issue for them. Williamson needs to go faster, in particular.
They're struggling. Even in that last over with a 6 the required rate still went up.NZ have a base but the run rate is becoming an issue for them. Williamson needs to go faster, in particular.
