We should for sure be getting rid of Rojo whatever happens. Absolute joke. Say what you like about Anderson but at least he was still getting games for us once he'd outstayed his welcome. Rojo is shite and we don't even have any games he could play in really either.

Really? Starting to think 6 is a bit optimistic, but here’s hoping.

Considering our current state, I think we could end up like this:

    Defense:
    Out - Rojo, Darmian
    In - Maguire
    Promote - Tuanzebe

    Midfield:
    Out -
    In - Longstaff and Fernandes
    Promote - Gomes

    Attack:
    Out - Lukaku and Sanchez
    In - Yedder
    Promote - Greenwood

Think Sanchez is having a comeback this year. I’m the one in a million who thinks so so odds are good!

    Sell:
Defence - Darmian, Rojo (bonus - Bailly)
    Midfield - Matic, Mata
    Attack - Sanchez, Lukaku

    Sign -
    Defence - Maguire, Tierney
    Midfield - Saul, Longstaff
    Attack - Sancho, Raul Jimenez

    Squad:
Goalkeeper - Ddg, Romero, Grant (Pereira and Henderson loans)
Fullback - Wan Bissaka, Tierney, Dalot, Shaw, Young
Centerback - Maguire, Lindelof, Smalling, Tuanzebe, Jones
Midfielders - McTominay, Saul, Pogba, Longstaff, Pereira, Gomes, Fred
Wingers - Martial, Sancho, James, Chong, Lingard
    Strikers - Rashford, Jimenez, Greenwood

This would be a sort of realistic window that could be a quick fix and address every possible issue and put us in contention for having a complete and world class squad with depth everywhere and brilliant youngsters on top. Given where we are with everything, I kind of want to just give the youngsters like Greenwood, Gomes, Chong, McTominay and Tuanzebe relatively big roles (at worst being first or 2nd back ups to some positions) so they all get their game time and show what they can be. Not often we get the opportunity to do this, but I'd say now is as good a time as any, so I'm more in favor of the outgoings and only reinforcing the positions where there isnt a youngster knocking on the door.

I don't think we need two in for every position.

    Out
    Def: Rojo, Darmien
Mid: Herrara (not by choice), Lingard (possibly Pogba)
    For: Martial, Mata

    ------------------------------De Gea------------------------
    AWB------------Lindeloff---------------Maguire-------Shaw
    -----------------------------McTominay----------------------
    ------------Fernandes--------------------Pogba--------------
    James----------------------Rashford----------------Greenwood

Martial just doesn't do it for me. He just doesn't work hard enough. I like Mata, but if it comes down to him getting minutes and someone like Gomes getting minutes, I would rather let youth develop. I'm also not giving up on Sanchez quite yet, however I would want him in a new role. I want to see him on the right taking his man wide and setting up others. Nevermind scoring, I want him assisting. I also think that Greenwood is the real deal (from the little I've seen of him last year and so far this year). He may only be 17 but if you're good enough, you're old enough. Chong also looked much better today playing on the left. Oh how I want to see a left footer on the left and right footer on the right. Apparently Greenwood is equally good on both feet so he can go anywhere. And Pogba is the tough one. When he wants to be he is our best midfielder. But is he going to perform that way each and every week? "If" he starts playing for the badge on the front of his shirt instead of the name on the back, then he is more than welcome to stay...

    Midfield
    Out - Matic, Lingard
    In - Milinkovic-Savic, Longstaff

How do you know what's realistic? Ndidi would probably be harder to obtain than Maguire.

It's just my opinion what I think would be realistic. I would offer them Fred, and cash plus Axel and Fosu-Mensah on loan for the season and think they might take it but I understand how teams don't want want to sell their best players.

Don't you think a backup for Shaw would be better? Someone like Tierney to compete with him.

SMS, Eriksen and Dybala? It sounds good on paper but we would need a top DM.

    BTW, Werner would be great.

At the end of the day, if we promote Gomes, Chong and Greenwood, it would be like signing 6 players, mainly if our youngsters fullfil their potential.

    Maguire
    Wan Bissaka

    Gomes

    James
    Greenwood

It's clear we needed a Matic replacement but Mctominay and Fred could take that spot this season.
