We weren't that bad actually, but we don't have an Mbappe. Hartman was excellent though, chuffed for him.

Holland are poor. Who are their next best talents? I don't see any Bergkamps, Van Persies or Seerdorfs coming through.

Simons, Hartman, Frimpong, Gakpo, Frenkie isn't old.

We were actually okay for the amount of injuries we have.

So 3 teams qualified so far: France, Portugal and Belgium.

3-1 for Germany v USA but really untidy goals to take the lead and make it 3-1. Hardly impressive.

I think the attack did okay, the goals may have been the result of deflections, but these deflections happened, because the team created pressure, got the ball into dangerous areas and had plenty of people there to convert. On the defensive side however the pressing wasn't very cohesive and thus they let through plenty of counter attacks. It was particularly unfortunate for Hummels to be exposed to his biggest weakness so frequently in his first game back.
Can't ask too much in Nagelsmann's first game, but this wouldn't be enough against real opposition.

Thought the pressure in the first third of the pitch, from the attackers, was good but as always the case with Germany once you get past that then it's all back pedalling and panic stations in defense.

Don't think the makeshift field helped in the build up play as well.

I liked not having Kimmich in there slowing the ball down so much. There were some impressive looking one touch scenarios going forward. Would be great if htat could be kept in the future. Kimmich always tries to hold the ball turn look like Kroos for passing and then failing it anyway cause hes not Kroos.

The Switzerland v. Belarus game is a cracker. Switzerland were losing 3-1. Then two goals in a couple of minutes and it is 3-3.

If it's tight game at Ullevål the ref will no doubt give Spain a helping hand, right @Samid?

Please tell this got VAR'd because of Morata?
It was.

Morata was in an offside position when Carvajal played the ball and the ref didn’t interpret that touch by the defender as a new situation. I can see why.

Morata was offside. Exact same situation happened in the CL final last year when Benzema's goal was disallowed vs dippers.
Similar situation in France Spain nations league semifinals, and the French goal stood. Correctly too.

Seems like everyone is always flagged offside when barely involved, except Atletico's goal against us. Cnuts.

we're the worst to watch among those better/higher ranked teams. old, can't score and slow as feck. doesn't even matter who we play that much. simply unwatchable.

Seen both Israel group games have been postponed. Understandable but how on earth are they going to finish that group on time?
