We haven't signed any older players to sit on the bench for over 200k/week in recent years so why not give it a shot.

I'd love it just to ruin his legacy with the City fans.

Make him rot on our bench after that.

Why bother, I hear Craig Bellamy is available.

As LVG would say..”Lesh gooo for it!” Tim Cahill just retired so we get himtoo and bring back Rooney. We will loose a lot but we will be a cool team full of aging Legends.

No even if he was free and unpaid. I rather take Zlatan back than him

“I’ve been criticised and I love to be criticised. I like it. I don’t mind if people talk about me - it’s good. It means I have to achieve, I have to be better."

PR talk or not, wish our players have this sort of mentality. Sick of having players breaking down at every bit of public criticism.

Hmm, definitely no. Why sign a guy who's talked shit about our club whenever he could :houllier: ? He could have been better than Messi that I still wouldn't want him

If Club pull the trigger on this it has to make sure to put his birthday into their Google calendar and make sure it says buy a huge cake as to avoid any controversy.

Would be atrocious.

I would stop watching us next season if this happened

No.
He would just coast along for a season or two, sponging a huge weekly salary and not giving very much back to the club in return.

Do you have an example of a player actually breaking down at criticism?

So far it's only the manager who had very public rants because of the criticism aimed at him.

Bring him in as backup for Matic. He has the routine and physical presence to fit perfectly as a defensive midfielder in a Morinho side. If he accept moderate wages and not too much game time, I would love to see him winning the league with us and rubbing the trophy in Guardiolas face.

He is high maintenance and that's the last thing we want in our squad next season.

He should tag along with moyesey as a packaged deal to top 8 clubs.

Honestly I wouldn't be opposed to this signing if his wages are only in playing and performance bonuses like his agent is suggesting. An upgrade on Fellaini either way and will be a free transfer. Solid option that will fill the squad and won't use up funds for other key positions.

With incessant whining
His hatred for Pep + his ambition to prove him wrong and his leadership skills and experience could be very useful for our players (especially for Pogba).
I also can't see him whining too much given that he won't be guaranteed minutes anyway and won't be as instrumental a member as he was a few years ago at City.
On reasonable wages that are performance based and on a free transfer, this move would make sense. The worst case scenario is that Toure plays dreadfully so we don't play him and hence don't pay him. Not much of a risk really, at least from a financial point of view.

He’d probably only come to United if he was allowed to bring his personal assistant Mr Kiplin.

I'd take him if he genuinely was desperate to join United. I still think he has one more top class season in him

I'd say take him. We have a player who is free , willing to be paid pennys & hate Pep so much.

Why not. If he plays for peanuts here it would piss off city.
More likely he would turn us down because of his links with City, and all we would get for the next 10 years off City fans is how we have dropped so far down that even a 35yo over the hill players are now turning us down. No thankyou.

No. I think he is on a war path with city and in particular Pep.
