Danny Tiatto was not among the Australian football team flying to Uruguay Wednesday after a dreadful administrative bungle over his World Cup suspension.
Tiatto missed the second leg against New Zealand and friendlies against Japan in August and France last week believing he would wipe the slate clean for the games against Uruguay.
But world governing body FIFA confirmed late Monday that friendlies did not count towards the suspension, meaning Tiatto would have to serve the remainder of his ban in both World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay.
It means Tiatto, who has been in camp with Australia for the past fortnight, has missed two matches for Manchester City when there was no need for him to be away.
dozy twats!
