The first two names that come to mind are Keane and Vidic. Vidic all the way. Keane, an undisputed beast, lost his head against weaker players, but Vidic was a class warrior who if he wanted to could destroy Keano.

After that, Cantona for sure, although going after a fan was poor form. Rooney of course. An unexpected pick but my fifth choice would be Ruud. The man was an animal who could butcher you with the ball or without the ball.

Now you have me wondering if I have my facts right!

According to sources on the internet, the Kung Fu kick occurred in January 1995 and if that's true we were in the middle of the 94-95 season. Blackburn won the PL in the 94-95 and we came in second by one point, 89 to 88.

A quick scan of our W/L/D record after the Kung Fu reports several unexpected dropped points (but it happens) and the match we all remember -- the final match draw to West Ham, which had we won it would have given us the extra two points and the PL trophy.

Sure, but I'm not suggesting that United were a one-man team, but Cantona was undeniably our best player in 94-95. The loss of one's best player, and captain, would very likely have the effect of costing a team 2 points over the course of 12-15 matches.
