Looking forward to the brief suggesting that we are confident of signing him in January.

This will just continue on until January now. The briefs will come out this week on how Sancho is still number one target etc etc and on and on the train will roll.

United are still monitoring the situation and believe the latest deadline to be arbitrary.

Doubt Dortmund would sell in January without the request to be loan back for the rest of the season if it even happens. And that's optimistic. They wouldn't want to rock the boat, since they're in perfect fine position to sell next summer without all the noise.

We could always choose to be competent and agree a deal in January for the summer. Will we? Another question.

If there's any truth whatsoever in the reports that we we were willing to pay up but thought Dortmund were bluffing, then someone needs to sacked for making that decision, then sack whoever hired him in the first place.

We were in a unique position to sign one of the biggest talents for a position we haven't had a natural player in for ages, now we suddenly depend on qualifying for the CL next season in order to stand a chance of bringing him. Mint.

We might try again in January if a new manager has been bought in in December and were 7th, 9 points off 4th, or something like that.

Then why chase him all fecking summer?
Why not go for a CB. CDM and LB from the start?

This isnt just about Sancho, its about the dismal planning and lack of foresight and execution from the board all the way down for years plus the fact that we are now content with just getting top 4 ...a title bid is out of the question.
Maybe because we have an arsenal of defenders who we couldn't sell and who are on high wages?

We offered what we thought is Sancho's value, Dortmund tried to hold on because they will never get a higher fee for him, let them keep him, we'll use that money elsewhere and continue the clearout... We got DVB as midfield option, Telles as LB option and Cavani as ST replacing Ighalo, not so bad when we have a fully fit first 11...

Haha. I'm sure that would make things very enticing for him.

Competent club would always keep contact and do deal during with other clubs. No rule to prevent you to do that.

Doesn't look like we are competent.

After we fail to get top 4 and Ole is fired, Id like to see what other bullshit excuses you come up with. Some of you who are defending the utter incompetence of this club deserve what is coming.

Top 4 this season and the situation with other clubs meant Sancho.

I honestly think we’ve lost him now. A generational player according to some ex-players. We’ll have competition for him in Jan or end of season.

Nobody is defending anyone, just stating the obvious, the club doesn't think Sancho is worth the amount Dortmund are requesting and that was it. Let them have an unhappy player on their side (provided he really wanted to join... didn't even submit a transfer request to force the move, just saying)

Reports saying United have signed Facundo Pellistri.

Manchester United have signed Facundo Pellistri from Penarol on a five-year contract, with an option to extend for a further year.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “Our scouts have followed Facundo for a long time and we believe that he will be a real talent for the long term. Whilst we understand it will take time for him to adapt to the English game, he is capable of having an impact with his pace and ability to beat his opponent."

Stop blaming Sancho, stop blaming BVB. Since Ed and the Glazers took over it is the blind leading the blind at the board level and that incompetence is filtering all the way throughout the club. No other top tier club is run this horrendously. Just like how we set a price on Pogba and when Madrid didnt pay up we told them to feck off, why should BVB operate any differently? Ed has said we are the richest club in the world and to 'watch this space' and you are now complaining when other teams expect us to pay the full amount? We brought this shit on ourselves.

feck Ed, feck Judge and feck the Glazers.

This is what, the third time Woodward gets bogged down chasing a white whale? This is year 8?

A ownership that gave a shite would sack him tomorrow

We won't sign him at all now. Amad Diallo is a right winger, and we just paid 25m rising to 40m for him, while having Greenwood. Also brought in Pellistri who is also a right winger. Diallo is 2 years younger than Sancho. We aren't throwing 100m on Sancho, to have a group of 19-24 years olds next summer that includes Rashford, Martial, Sancho, Diallo, Pellistri, James.

On top of that, I think Liverpool will now get him next summer, considering I have strong doubts that we will make top 4 this year. Let's just hope the youngsters we signed are worth it!

It's the same squad that finished third last year plus upgrades/depth in 3 very good positions, just accept the situation, the transfer window is shut and this is the squad we have for at least January.

Richest club in the world, yeah maybe, but it doesnt mean splashing cash on every player we are linked with just so the fans are happy. We were the only club linked to Sancho as per the papers, big clubs with good spending (Liverpool, Man City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munchen) werent linked to him/didn't submit any bid although his stats suggest he can improve those teams, why? Because nobody is dumb enough to throw 120 million + bonuses + add ons on Sancho, now matter how good he is. What would Neymar/Mbappe be worth in this case? Dortmund need a reality check.

Only PSG submitted a bid for Mbappe, and that was initially a loan deal, proper shit player.

I think Dortmund is completely in their right to ask for that much, because they'd much rather hang on to him and challenge for trophies. We know they'll eventually sell, but with Gio Reyna's emergence, Haaland's first full season, and being able to keep Sancho now they have some exciting prospects ahead of them.

It's a shame though, all these pages for nothing and it really felt like he was there for the taking. Who knows how much that will have changed by next summer, especially if he keeps shining the way he has so far.

still quite surprised the club hasn’t briefed that we’re not in for him.

No disrespect intended but maybe you should consider posting less and thinking more.
