We are not getting Sancho to displaced Greenwood. A lot of people are getting this wrong perception. We are improving our squad depth with quality signings, not just some Brooks. If we sign Brooks, we are going to fight for top 4 again. If we get Sancho, we are aiming for the top, that is the difference.
There seems to be a misconception that Greenwood is the only player who’s position is under threat. I would argue Rashford is in just as much danger of dropping out too. If Greenwood is performing on a good run, there’s no reason Sancho won’t come in on the left. Or if Martial is having a poor run, Sancho on the right and Greenwood central.

It literally allows all 4 players to get suitable rest between games. If each of them got rested once every 4 games, they’d all play 3 out of 4 games regularly. That’s a simplistic way of looking at it.

He's since unfollowed but he did follow him yesterday.

It’s not a real account though.

These social media ‘follows’ have never ever amounted to anything have they.

The classic is ooh look who he’s just started following!

No that’s just people you have in common.

Well. Yes and no

It's a yes because Sancho can technically speaking play 3 roles (No 10, LW, RW). So he's cover/competition to Rashford, Greenwood, Bruno and even Pogba (if Bruno drops as CM). Its a no because no one spend 120m on the bench to put him on the bench. So Sancho will be first teamer and he'll get tired like any other first teamer.

Did anyone see that Mike Phelan signed up to Instagram yesterday? Guess who one of his first follows was? Sancho...
He's since unfollowed but he did follow him yesterday.
Probably some kids playing wumming. Mike Phelan is too old to try Instagram, a platform in which Likes and Follows are of utmost importance.
If an old man sets up a social media account, he'd follow his family, friends, grandchildren...etc first and not Sancho.

Nope, he promoted the Instagram account through his official Twitter account yesterday, it's him, he's just signed up.

Just had a look on the Dortmund website and there's not a single promotion using Sancho in the new home or away kit, or anywhere for that matter. Seem's like they've pulled it or they're choosing not to use him for some reason...
Very ominous

Hes probably their least marketable player. 20 year old wonderkid wingers with bags of tricks that score and assist loads of goals and have cult followings on social media are generally not good at selling merch.

Almost 900!!

Here's another sign we're still in for Sancho.
If we are doing any 'work' for this deal, its limited to playing a game of chicken with the other side. History suggests we come off worse in these games!

As long as we come out of it with the player I'd be more than happy.

For the avoidance of doubt..

That is Phelan’s Instagram and he did follow Sancho yesterday. He’s now unfollowed him.

Nobody knows if it means anything

Pretty interesting how Sancho was being pushed so much by their social accounts after the supposed 10th of August deadline. If you scroll through their social feed now he doesn't get mentioned or push half as much.

A lot less than Haaland, Reus, or even Axel Witsel.

Seems ‘glass half full’ in this thread this morning. I’ll take that to mean Ed’s on a beach in the Cayman Islands then, in blissful ignorance of any supposed need to make transfers.

Anyone passing any beaches in the Cayman Islands in the next few hours?

We all love United
If it’s wages and agent fees, then there is very likely a fee agreed with BVB. Those shouldn’t be a problem. It’s the selling club we have to get past and presumably we already did. Otherwise what for are we still negotiating on wages and agent fees?

Romano on the other hand is saying otherwise

Which is which :houllier:

Was it revealed or was it just claimed? I thought the source was just one bellend who previously made the laughable suggestion that Sancho’s agent wanted £50m.

Also can someone please explain the England caps thing to me? Was it claimed he needed to get to 10 caps? He seems to have made 13 up until now. It also seems odd as this only represents 4 more games in the last year. Bit of a weird thing to add into a contract last year when he was already an established player who was emerging as a star for the National team too.
I've no idea on any of these counts, all my Sancho news comes solely from this thread!

Didn't Romano day personal terms were agreed?
It depends on which version you pay attention to.

Dortmund through Jan or Falk guy - Deadline over, no selling.
United through Laurie Whitwell - Agents are the problem.
Players and agents through Romano - terms with the players and agents are agreed, no agreement between the clubs yet - (installments or addons or whatever the fee is)
