Same reason why top players went to Juve, Inter, Real when they were not doing well.why should he waste time of the rebuilding of Man Utd when he can go to ready made top team? And how many years has Man Utd being rebuilt now without any success. If you were his adviser would you tell him with glazers, Woodward and Ole man has everything in place to go back to the top. This is project worth believing in?
We can spend £100m or 200m on him but it is not going to make a difference the way we play under Ole.Who's to say he doesn't go back down south and join spurs or chelsea? They both got better chances of trophies than utd at the moment. Chelsea can afford him easily.
Oh ffs.We can spend £100m or 200m on him but it is not going to make a difference the way we play under Ole.
Has anyone actually watched Sancho play? He is a RW so he will need service into him which at the moment is non existent from our championship rated midfield.
Secondly having watched Sancho, he is very good at making a yard and putting the ball into the box, similar to what James can do but there is no strikers who gamble so we will not score anyway.
No, that is not what I am saying. The fact is that there is other areas of the pitch that needs improving too.Oh ffs.
So what should we do? Stop buying good players, because our other players aren't good? Or even, our reserve other players given that our midfield will be a lot better when McTominay and Pogba are back fit.
Wages, guaranteed playing time, we'd probably be the most receptive club to pay an over inflated transfer fee for him. I'm not so sure many top teams are genuinely in for him and certainly and not with the money we'd be throwing at it if we pursued it.We'd certainly be the best financial deal for him personally and his club. Make no mistake his agent/advisers will be pushing him for the best money deal possible. He's also at an age where he needs to be playing, he won't get that at a lot of top clubs esp in Europe. Liverpool have been mentioned, but their front 3 pick themselves. If we go for him, I'd say we have a very good chance of getting him.why should he waste time of the rebuilding of Man Utd when he can go to ready made top team? He's going to Liverpool for sure. Liverpool might be thinking they can get astronomical money from PSG for Salah and using the funds to buy Sancho is smart business.
Besides we don't really need him anymore. Nobody is ever taking Rashford away from the left role. Daniel James is right footed and looks to be developing on the right now. So I think Erling is more a priority than Sancho now.
so we should be fine having 1 option on the right? Every top club has multiple options up front, we can't be afraid to fill a role we need just because it will create competitionHe's going to Liverpool for sure. Exactly, he would be the final piece of the puzzle. No point starting with him when we dont have midfielders or strikers. What good is Sancho to us with our current midfield options?
We need to buy at least two top midfielders before we buy any other player. The midfield is where we constantly fail every game. We can't pass the ball or find our forwards with the ball.
Pogba will be gone soon enough. So will Matic. Probably need to buy 4 then.
We'll we're definitely not getting Sancho but someone like Dwight Mcneil or Danny Loader might be brought in to boost the competition on the wings.so we should be fine having 1 option on the right? Midfield has to be our priority but upgrading this in Jan will be pretty much impossible. If we get the opportunity to strengthen an area that we will ultimately need to do so eventually, we should take advantage of that. I'm not just talking about Sancho but even at striker, if the Haaland lad is available in Jan, I say go for it. I've no doubt the club have their big money targets for mid lined up for bids in the summer (i hope). Obviously if a mid target was available in Jan, I'd gladly priortise that over any other position.Exactly, he would be the final piece of the puzzle. No point starting with him when we dont have midfielders or strikers.
That worked out well for Pogba didn't it. Maybe next year he gets to leave. For those saying why would he come to us over Spain or Liverpool. He's 19, he could come to us, be part of a rebuild and establish himself as a top player for us. Worst case he comes to us, we continue to struggle, he leaves in 2-3 seasons when he's approaching the wily old veteran age of 21-22 years of age. I'm not saying he's coming to us or whether I even want him, but for those getting their knickers in a twist even contemplating him coming to us, remember his age. He's not some 29-30 year old with 1 last huge move left in his career.
YupWon't see Sancho here playing for Ole.
We had a chance in summer Ole blew it by missing top four and the glazers wouldn't sanction the fee.
and we sell him for a profit to Real, hasn't worked out too badly for him. That worked out well for Pogba didn't it. Maybe next year he gets to leave.
This. So true. What good is Sancho to us with our current midfield options?

He's spent two years longer than he wanted. Pretty sure this is nothing like he envisioned his career would go when he left Juventus.and we sell him for a profit to Real, hasn't worked out too badly for him.
Caf experts "But you can only have max three on the pitch!!" only for us to have our bi-weekly injury crisis with three midfielders on the treatment table.This. So true.
he has improved a lot since then. Also since when doesnt top team have competition? Liverpool can have their front 3 and him. Her can play in manes and Salahs position. Also there is a chance after he been there a year Liverpool may sell salahWell he left ready made top team for game time, if ready made top team was his only club then he wouldn't have left City.
Who knows which manager will be in charge when he is ready to move.
Are you here (this thread) just to WUM united fans? He's spent two years longer than he wanted. Pretty sure this is nothing like he envisioned his career would go when he left Juventus.
Of all the people at the club who we can blame for missing top four last season, Ole is the last. Even DDG deserves more blame for that than Ole.Won't see Sancho here playing for Ole.
We had a chance in summer Ole blew it by missing top four and the glazers wouldn't sanction the fee.
This is the first time i've ever heard of his attitude being questioned, and it coincides with the rumours that he wants to leave. Perhaps Dortmund are trying to soften the blow of losing one of their best talents, or he's trying to force a move. All the talk of attitude problems makes me wonder whether he'd be the right man for us. I wonder whether SAF would have gone for him?
As a player? He's outstanding. But I don't think we can afford to be adding bad apples to our already mixed bag of mental-apples.
He won the world cup in that time. I'm sure he's not that arsed. He's spent two years longer than he wanted. Pretty sure this is nothing like he envisioned his career would go when he left Juventus.
Top teams always had competition when manager rotates but at Liverpool the front 3 is fixed, unless they sell one of Mane or Salah.he has improved a lot since then. Just the few who perform jumping through hoops. Are you here (this thread) just to WUM united fans?
A feat unrelated to Manchester United. Don't think that's the sort of thing that makes a player go "two years more of a this then? Not like I'm arsed."He won the world cup in that time. I'm sure he's not that arsed.
Top teams always had competition when manager rotates but at Liverpool the front 3 is fixed, unless they sell one of Mane or Salah.
Wasn't fixed when Coutinho was still here (and the original plan wasn't "sell him to Barcelona") .Top teams always had competition when manager rotates but at Liverpool the front 3 is fixed, unless they sell one of Mane or Salah.
The argument is obviously based on the assumption that we have something worthwhile to offer, which includes the overall footballing ‘project’, as well as status of the club he’d be joining (and subsequent boosting of his profile as a result), wages etc. A couple of years ago we finished 6 points above you in 4th, since then you’ve won the Champions League and currently lead the table by 11 points. You were obviously able to sell a plan to the crux of your team as being a part of something ‘going somewhere’ and given how fast things change in football (you should know!), I wouldn’t write off our credentials to potential suitors just yet. The number of reports about Woodward meeting with Rangnick a few weeks ago suggests a media briefing, along with Rangnick rejecting Bayern. So in short, eff you and your sly dig! (Joking!).Just the few who perform jumping through hoops.
I mean ffs. The argument is basically "he can come here and be part of something going nowhere, but he'll play every week and be adored and still be young enough to play for someone good afterwards". I am not saying there is no chance of Sancho joining your team, but that's not how it would work.
I've seen that reported too but I don't believe their paying him that much given Dortmunds wage bill.He isnt worth the 250k+ a week he would be looking for.
Reports suggest that he is already on 190k a week.

We should pass on him. But no doubt he will end up here as I cant see any other PL paying him what Woodward will offer.
I'm not sure what point you're making? Torres wasted 4 years at Liverpool. Owen used his best years up with you and Gerrard his entire career could have been much more fruitful elsewhere. Infact I could go on.A feat unrelated to Manchester United. Don't think that's the sort of thing that makes a player go "two years more of a this then? Not like I'm arsed."
