damn! There was rumours on the tour he was the one who turned up late and subsequently got dropped.
If true then he's clearly not got on the right side of a new manager. Silly boy.

They should both goI'd much rather we sold McTominay, who has demonstrated time and again that he isn't cut out for playing for United.
I'm sure it was reported that Newcastle made a bid this summer? I find it hard to believe McTominay wouldn't have a few suitors, despite how lowly he's rated on here (and by me).How do you propose we do that? Nobody would want him and his wages are probably double what they should be for his ability.
I would trust a judgement of ETH who sees him train daily rather than the experts on Caf. Ideally both Garner and McT should go, I don't know why people get so attached to our young players so much that it just becomes a blind faith in them turning out good.We have not even tried to use Garner, this is on ETH, I’m increasingly becoming a non fan of our new united coach, we could at least give the kid a game first with the dross we currently have in our midfield. Mctominay would probably raise £25m if we need cash for transfers.
It was Garnacho wasn't it?There was rumours on the tour he was the one who turned up late and subsequently got dropped.

That doesn’t ring true - he was the model pro at Forest and Cooper is a stickler for punctuality. He is also desperate to make it at united so it seems very unlikely he’d be that stupid. There was rumours on the tour he was the one who turned up late and subsequently got dropped.

Yeah, would much rather McT being sold, but probably being kept for his physicality and height. Garner does seem to be the better footballer though.Mctominay would probably raise £25m if we need cash for transfers.
I thought that was Garnacho? He went on tour and didn’t get a single minute, he only played in the game in Norway and OT.Garner was injured. There was rumours on the tour he was the one who turned up late and subsequently got dropped.

Maybe you sell Yates and get back like half the Garner fee? I imagine some Prem team needing CM depth or one of the bigger spending Champo teams would be interested after his strong last season. Garner is only 21 and has no Prem experience and Freuler is 30 so they can split time for a couple years until Freuler leaves and Garner is entering (the early part of) his prime. O'Brien backs up Mangala. Or just have 5 central mids for 2 spots which isn't crazy with injuries and 5 subs now, one of them becomes Lingard's backup and maybe Colback goes back to the Champo to finish his career.£13-£15m is about right - what ever his potential he is a top level champ player untested in the prem. Having said that, for sentiment reasons I’d have him back even if it cost £20m.
The problem is we now have a lot of options in midfield. Mangala and Yatesy as number 8’s, O’Brien and Fueler at 6, Colback and Cafu as back ups. We need a 10 to compete with Lingard and Jimmy isn’t a 10.
I bloody hope he comes home though - my player of the season Last year
Yeah, agreed on that. I suppose ten Hag wanted to have a look at him first but it's not ideal. We also waited for Forest to sign 100 new players before making Garner available. Could have squeezed them for £25m a few weeks ago.
Sell Yates! He’s a club legend - a local lad who joined at 8 years old - and the most dedicated pro around - the lad comes in early to do a gym session and stays late to do one on one training and that’s when he’s injured! He came back for pre-season already match fit. The lad will be at Forest for life and probably manager in 30 years time.Maybe you sell Yates and get back like half the Garner fee? As bad as McTominay looks in a midfield like ours, he probably would thrive in the Championship. I remember Ben Foster waxing lyrical about him from when McTominay played against Watford in the cup a couple of years back.I don't understand why he hasn't at least been given a game. Would McTominay have been a standout performer for Forest last season? Not sure. It's not like the starters are undroppable and this is not an 18-year-old kid with no first-team experience.
Yeah that's annoying - they'd have definitely splashed £15-£20m on him earlier in the window. We also waited for Forest to sign 100 new players before making Garner available. Could have squeezed them for £25m a few weeks ago.
How can you possibly come to that conclusion? Savage has had zero experience playing competitive football- Garner was one of the stand out players for a team that got promoted to the PremSavage is better. I think that's probably factoring in to this decision.
