Watching him in his first season, I always felt he could have been better than he should have been.

Great servant for the club don't get me wrong. But I was just surprised he couldn't surpass his first season.

Yeah, theres a few stories like that of him floating around (something to do with his local club I cant remember the details of offhand), he sounds like a really classy genuine guy.

Just thinking how insane that goal at Anfield was, one of those unforgettable moments that was a defining moment that season and bought him a lifetime of good will from all of us :)

Looks like he's struggling to get over the line until he retires when he plays these days. Nearly 36, so probably the right time to bow out. Loved him as a player, though. He was the perfect player you need in a 60 game season. A player who will overachieve and take his chance when he gets given one.
