I would believe and hope so. Would be madness to be putting him into the first team squad straight away.
If he's loaned out, I'd hope he'd be playing at a Premier League level. But I don't see why he couldn't just come in right away. It's probably what Dortmund are offering - doubtful they're spunking loads of cash on him to loan him back to Birmingham. If Pogba's off in the summer we definitely will have plenty of game time for him and there's great value in him training with our team as opposed to Birmingham (no disrespect).

I'm sure talksport said we'd signed him when I was driving home, guess they're jumping the gun a little then

I’ve seen zero of Birmingham this season, how has he played this season? Has he shown some quality or looking like one to gamble on his potential?

If he were to come, how do you think he’ll be used next season in terms of match time? Possible loan out?

That ITK Twitter guy also thinks we brought in King Eric to have a chat with him.

If Sir Alex Ferguson can’t convince him to join, he’s clearly a complete idiot and shouldn’t join. So whatever happens now is for the best.

also why isn’t he on Fifa?
Having SAF come in is obviously great, but also, the kid is 16. He was 9 the last time Sir Alex managed a game. It's not like he will have been exposed to a lot to SAF as a cultural influence or icon. Not in the same way as a player in his mid twenties or thirties. Still, I bet his Dad fecking loved it.

If this is all true he must be considered to be one incredible talent

16 years old, £35m and all the special treatment he's getting. Imagine the potential of a Bellingham / Mejbri midfield though

Know nothing about this kid but he seems to be highly regarded. 35 million is a lot for a 16 year old though.
I agree that it’s a very hefty price but we paid £25 million for Rooney in 2004, that seemed like a ridiculous amount at the time and the rest is history. Not saying this boy has even half the potential of Rooney (I’ve not actually seen him play) but surely worth the gamble if the ‘generational talent’ chat is anything to go by.

Those pictures tell a story and a half

Mr Bellingham : WE'RE LOADED GET IN

Woodward : I can't believe how much he just asked for

Judge : How am I going to get this passed the Glazers?!?!
Exactly what I'm seeing.

His Dad is the one that needs convincing from what's been reported. And Fergie being there can only have helped in that regard.

What’s the deal with trying to sign him?

He hasn’t a pro contract yet, would we have to wait til June when he does? Or would we need to sign him before?

The funny thing is that when Dortmund were reportedly signing him it was said that they only need to pay a compensation to Birmingham because he doesn't have a pro contract yet and now that we are back in the race the figures are said to be as high as 50m including add ons.

To be mentioned up there with the likes of 16 year old sensation Fati of Bracelona, this kid must be something imperious. At the moment though, he is totally unproven in the top league. We do have the advantage of having the facilities to let him attain the right mentality and giving him ample opportunities to improve though so, although he may be unpolished at the moment, IF he decides to come here, he has the support and chances to advance himself toward the elite of the footballing world. As @phonics_tid mentioned, we paid £25m for an outstanding gamble on Rooney and that paid very high dividends, Bellingham could possibly go down the same route.

Started watching more of him 2 months ago. Whenever Bham are on tele and the things that stand out to me at least are the following:

1. Control - Good first touches and ball carrying.

2. Physicality - Holds himself well for his age definitely not shy of contact.

3. Fundamentals - He picks good choices of pass in most contexts more so than most mature players.

when you consider how young he is it’s remarkable how at home he looks when I’ve seen him and at least once per game he’ll show a stand out bit of quality be it pass/touch/dribble.

I seriously doubt his ability to do it in the PL right away but in two years who knows!

He will be Pogba's replacement

and we might be better off.

Could reinvest the surplus from Pogba's sale into the right wing.

That's a good question. I'm gonna assume the player and his Father have a agreement to sign a contract with Birmingham which will see the club receive a pretty penny. By all accounts it seems the Bellingham's have a great relationship with Birmingham City.

If we get him we will have 2 of the top midfield prospects in the country, if not the top 2 then very close. If our scouting is as on point as it has been recently then this lad turns out to be a baller. He’s not a punt at 35 million. He’s as close to a sure thing as possible for a 16 year old.

It's been too long since we've had an ingham in the squad.
