Never a pen
Clearly notI clearly dont know the rules now because Kane was clearly offside
Surely that becomes obsolete if there’s a pen / possible pen?He never touched the ball. I’m guessing it may be classified as an off the ball incident?
Benzema wasn't actually offside.I'm not sure how he's not offside if Benzema was in the Champions League final, surely it's the same thing of a deflection taking it into his path?
Pretty muchWasn’t it offside and Kane kicked himself?
Again, I already said two things can be true at once, which obviously is an incredibly hard concept for you to grasp. Good luck to you in life, you sure sound like you’re going to need a ton of it.
Schlotterbeck tripped and fell on his leg so it can be seen as a foul...the offside part though is pretty confusing to me.Looks like he tripped himself to me.
14/50. Nearly 25% of his goals. The number of Pens Kane has scored for England is absurd. It's so much more than anyone else.
ball came from the german player apparentlyI clearly dont know the rules now because Kane was clearly offside
I think he clipped his own heals yeah.Wasn’t it offside and Kane kicked himself?
But if he doesn’t touch the ball then he isn’t classed as offside when fouled? If he touched the ball and then fouled it’s a offside (I think)Surely that becomes obsolete if there’s a pen / possible pen?
you don’t have to touch it to be involved with playNever touched the ball
The German player nicked his back leg 'causing' Kane to kick his other leg.Looks like he tripped himself to me.
It's all a bit weird.Schlotterbeck tripped and fell on his leg so it can be seen as a foul...the offside part though is pretty confusing to me.
Wasn't dangerous/violent play so offside would come firstHe never touched the ball. I’m guessing it may be classified as an off the ball incident?
That clears it up then.Ball was meant for Sterling but was deflected by german defender to Kane
only natural when you go 1 up against a vastly superior side.Think Germany got what they deserved there. They've gone a bit England like. Just holding onto a lead.
How was that no offside but Hofmanns first goal was?
He’s offside for a good hour there, wtf.
Always surprising how few know the rules for such things. How is that not offside?
After the UCL final I thought the whole 'defenders touch needs to be intentional' thing was the rule?
I suppose they'll argue the touch from the Germany defender was intentional but it was a massive miss kick. I don't know any more. The rules confuse me now.
e.g. Kane wasn't offside because he didn't touch or attempt to touch the ball. Offside isn't applicable until he does. He was fouled before then. When a player in an offside position is moving towards the ball with the intention of playing the ball and is fouled before playing or attempting to play the ball, or challenging an opponent for the ball, the foul is penalised as it has occurred before the offside offence
That's actually great to know, thanks!Always surprising how few know the rules for such things.
No shame in Germany drawing to a team that has won 3.5 World Cups.only natural when you go 1 up against a vastly superior side.
It's a pretty big deflection and the ball comes at the German player from much further away so it's not the same situation at all. I still think Benzema's goal should have stood, mind. How is that not offside?
