I'm not sure any available defender is worth it for those fees being touted.
Very unreliable CBs.we certainly don't need him, we already have 4 very good CBs, Unless it's a world class player/ talent for good we shouldn't be bothered..
what is unreliable? yeah so that means that some greek cb playing in seria A will come and become more reliable than what we have, don't be fooled. Rojo has been a rock, Bailly looks top talent, Jones has made like one mistake but which CB in the prem hasnt apart that he was brilliant too and Smalling after a broken finger coming back and looks solid, all players staying fit. Mourinho factor making them great set of centerbacks...Very unreliable CBs.

ppl wanted Garays Lindelofs and other overrated centerbacks who havnet even see playing, just because they want signings for the sake of new stuff, players are not like new toys or pokemons ffs
I would say he is comfortably better than all except Bailly.we certainly don't need him, we already have 4 very good CBs, Unless it's a world class player/ talent for good we shouldn't be bothered..

Very fast and strong on FIFA, though. He has 19 shooting in FIFA. Do not want
Yeah but 42 passing. Not much playing out from the back with him.Very fast and strong on FIFA, though.
Very unreliable CBs.
We have the 2nd best defense in te league but this guy is better than our 4 CBs...ok
We've conceded more than Chelsea and Spurs. But still, I'm sure you're more knowledgeable about Manolas than you are about the league table. We have the 2nd best defense in te league but this guy is better than our 4 CBs...ok

We have? By what criteria?
@Infra-red @AndyJ1985 Okay 3rd, feck sake like that makes a difference. And yes I do watch the Serie A.

Smalling has 14 more passing, 2 more dribbling and 28 more shootingThis is a thread for Kostas, not Smalling
If we have the 3rd best defence in a league we aspire to be champions of, it's reasonable to make efforts to improve that defence where possible, no?
yes because the only way to do that is to buy players.
There are very obviously numerous methods of doing that, of which strengthening the squad is undoubtedly one.
Glad you agree..so we dont need another CB
How so?
So fans are reading red cafe comments and taking them seriously? Am I reading this correct? So fans are basing their choice to buy a player based on a computer game ranking? Am I reading this correct?
Would you call them reliable on the basis of the last few seasons? Jones, Rojo and Smalling have all had patchy form for most of their United careers, all are susceptible to injury at any moment (particularly the former two).
I would say the only 'reliable' CB United have at the moment is Bailly, then again he's still relatively new to the league and can be a bit rash at times.
No we don't necessarily need a new CB to improve defensively (defensive stability seems to be about organisation as much as individual quality, and Mourinho has an excellent track-record in that regard. Rojo's positioning, for instance, has improved markedly this season).
However there are traits that are likely to prove less-malleable to training/instruction, such as the ability to play out from the back and leadership qualities. They're inherent to the player and it's not unreasonable to suggest that Mourinho may need to turn to the market to solve problems that would otherwise prove intractable. That is afterall what the market is actually for.
Thats the last few seasons, all seem pretty reliable now. No lets start with Manolas who has problems starting for Roma right now. Why Manolas and not Rudiger?
