Totally agree.
Lots of people saying "I don't mind losing as long as we play attacking football". This is exactly how it looks when things go bad. With a team depending on an unproven 20 year old to get them goals, defense should be the first priority. We can't outscore teams with this attack.
Sorry but the guy is not a genius. Infact I'd go as far to say that's he's an absolute idiot. Where to start with the criticism is the only difficulty here. The threadbare squad, shite football, substitutions, tactics, letting players go who would clearly be needed as injuries occurred, the arrogance, the sitting there making notes, the ridiculous comments about lots of chances being created, signing 10 goal keepers. Yeah I think that would be a really disappointing take away from the game. There's plenty of defensive injuries contributing there and then the central midfield where the performance/tactical set up is questionable. Why are Scwein/Fellain pushing so high? It's not needed, particularly Fellaini constantly pushing on the left, reign Schweinsteiger in and swap in Schneiderlin and you've got a solid base there for the attacking players, not to mention it lets Mata stay higher up the pitch.

Yeah, no one criticising LVG for defensive football was somehow saying that they were desperate for us to go gung-ho and concede a lot. There's a middle ground, and when we've spent as much as we have and have a top European manager in charge, we expect him to be able to find that balance.
