Say "we showed against Shrewsbury Town" one more time Luis... I dare you!:mad::mad::mad:

Is this absolute clown seriously using that as a barometer of success?!?!

Good god I hate that man.
It gets stranger and stranger. I think at this point a win against a sunday league pub team would be pulled out as a positive. Its just cringeworthy.

Viagra apparently contacted Woodward this morning about a commercial deal. Woodward is reported to be hard over the prospect.

Positive or negative is relative to the current situation. Dortmund finished in a positive position in the league last season. Chelsea look to finish positively this season after what they did with their season.
If we manage to win against West Ham in next round (very doubtful), that is also positive. We can't say we used to regularly do a double over them few years back and hence it is negative.

It doesn't reflect well on them to be supporting a team that is so limp. Also, if we miss on the champions league, I would worry about them pulling out of the deal. Anyway, the situation we currently find ourselves in is really a hard one to swallow.

I think that's enough for one day.

Woodward is now working on deal with Durex so there'll be no need to pull out...

I really wish LVG was 45 and we were actually any good under him. I'd give him a 10 year contract tomorrow.

Come to think of it, does horny have a different meaning in Dutch? I do wonder why he wants the players to be "horny".
I´m guessing it can be used to mean having a primitive desire for something like winning for example. In sweden we use the word kåt which means horny in different contexts. Målkåt is a common expression which basically mean that you have a primitive desire to score as many goals as possible

He's a clever guy.
He has used a bit of comedy to completely deflect what is actually going on the pitch and the likelihood of us going out of Europe today.
I also see that due to the comedy moment, Mourinho's name has not been brought up.

The media must have been told not to ask about Mourinho. There's no way the horny comment just distracted them.

Where were the questions & answers about Rooney's injury progress? Maybe he's being flogged off to China on their transfer deadline day tomorrow. ;)

I think the English translation would be goal hungry. But yeah, foreigners do the funniest things

A primitive desire to get in the box and score, it does make sense in someway. The term 'sexy football' was frowned upon initially also.

Taking the next corner instead of Jones!
You guys shouldn't just concentrate on "Horny" there were a few other innuendoes in his presser too, for example:

“I think, maybe, it can be an influence because there is a lot of criticism,” added Van Gaal. “But they have to use their tools to ignore the criticism because that’s very important."
