    Fellaini x 11

2 fullbacks and an ageing midfielder to be subbed on. Have a 35 min spell during either half where we look good but do feck all. Goal a fluke or set-piece.

    3-1 City.

That or we let the kids go nuts and expose the lack of speed/nerviness of their team, run at them, press in packs, use width well...

Away at Etihad. We suck away and it is at Etihad and it is a derby.
I believe the team will show the passion of punching doll and lose 2-1 or 3-1 maybe.

Oh wait!! The punching doll does come-back unlike the current Utd team

there's a good chance that if both teams go out and play for a 0-0 draw, both sets of fans might walk out of emptyhad

City look ropey. They've also not beaten any of the current top 8 this season. Our record in the big games is mostly good. I see us getting a result.

We have to really. They are 4 pts ahead with a game in hand. They are the side we're aiming to catch up with. Top 4 will over if we fail to win I reckon. They'll be 7 ahead, and their game in hand is against Newcastle. So, 10 pts ahead.

Kompany is out. Otamendi might be too. Yaya is doing his usual strop already. Silva hasn't looked fit for ages and Aguero is hot and cold. Let's fecking do 'em.

They have no game in hand. Just 4 points.

Lost, won and drawn the last three meetings against them under van Gaal. Win is a must and Kompany missing the game is good news. Will probably end up 2:0 to City.

Kompany missing the game is irrelevant. Whoever replaces him is sufficient to deal with impotent attack. On the other end i see their attack running havoc in front of DDG's goal. 3:0 City.

Unless LvG suddenly gets things right tactically and plays Schneiderlin from the start, I think we'll lose.

I'd say City need to win more than we do to keep any slim chance of a title challenge alive, though I believe it was gone after their draw with Norwich. A draw suits neither side as we'll miss our biggest opportunity to close the gap and they'll miss theirs to put 4th completely out of our reach. The draw just keeps both of us and West Ham in the same position and I think we'd all faulter to a similar degree for the rest of the season, with City eventually holding on to 4th (or maybe sneaking third with Arsenal dropping to 4th). However, even if we win I think City would edge 4th anyway.

I do think that Arsenal and West Ham will fail to win on Saturday though, so that would put even more importance on this game. Can't count out Liverpool if they win their game in hand either... So we could well be looking at five teams in with a shout of the final two places come Sunday night.

Due to our lack of goal power, I'm saying 1-0 City until we see our line-up...

The only saving grace for this is their defence all out injured. I think this will be a close game with someone making a big cock up allowing the other team to score.

Would love us to nick fourth spot and see Pep managing in Europa. Jose would love that. I'm sure he'll have a dig if he manages us one day.

I wouldn't be surprised if LVG pulls a win out of this. Every time the writing's been on the wall for him, he picks up an important win to give himself just a little bit more breathing room.

It's actually really frustrating to know that if we had changed managers sooner we would very likely be above them and guaranteed champions league football.

Indeed. And as an added bonus, we knock MCFC out of the CL, so Guardiola would be arriving to a team who cannot offer him CL football.

I think we will beat them because nobody expects us to do anything. Also they are really struggling atm and Kompany's injury will only add to that.

I have a better feeling about this, guys. We haven't won in 4-5 matches so we are overdue a win now

We haven't won using our first team for 5 matches.
Against Sunderland we had our first team - who lost.
Then we had 4 games where we played lots of U21s players.
Then our first teamers all returned and we played 4 games (2 x losses, 2 x draws).

I have no faith in our first team players and I can't see them beating MCFC. The loser mentality is so engrained into them, that they can't help it.
Basically we are now at a point, where we were with Moyes' MUFC - the morale was very low and the mentality was negative.

I'm glad I'll miss it because of work, fecking losing to Liverpool and City in a space of 10 days....

Hopefully Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger and Herrera return for this one.

    Martial
    Memphis Herrera Young
    Schweinsteiger Schneiderlin
    Rojo Blind Smalling Valencia
    deGea

Hopefully Fellaini doesn't play, but that seems unlikely. My lineup would be:

    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Rojo Blind
    Herrera Schneiderlin Schweinsteiger
    Lingard Rashford Martial
Though Mata will most likely start, and I would guess Fellaini will as well. Probably for Herrera and Rashford. We actually have a chance to get a result if there is no fellaini though, because City are just as shite as us. Neither team deserves top 4.

Probably be a draw or City win by 1-0. City drew their last league game goalless with Norwich. We are even more shite in comparison but these matches tend to disappoint for everyone more often than not.

The only thing that will effected the score is how many City want to score. We are going to get whopped and I'd be surprised if Hart needs to turn up: my guess is one shot on target

Like Liverpool, City are very vunerable.....

sadly we are lacking motivation/confidence and will probably not capitalise

the team I'd like to see

    --------------------------------------DDG----------------------------------
    Darmian-------------Smalling-----------------Blind--------------------CBJ
    ----------------------------------Schneiderlein-----------------------------
    ---------------------Herrera----------------------Schweinstieger----------
    Rashford-------------------------Martial---------------------------Memphis

Looking at that, it is quite impossible to comprehend how a guy can spend so much money and that's the best we can put out.

If Mourinho does arrive, I can just about see 3/4 of them starting next year.
