Ruud ftw
Looks like there's a highlights show on MUTV on Sunday at half 12 (and half 6).

Anyone got any idea about lineups?

Edit: My bad on the earlier post, it's O'Brien celebrating scoring against Kedah and doing the forward roll. There are some pics now up of Wilson and Rothwell scoring against Sutherland Sharks.

I managed to record the (very brief) highlights of the two games today which were shown during the 6:30pm phone-in show.

For anyone who is interested, there is a repeat at 1am tonight, and 6am and 9:30am tomorrow. It's in the last 10 minutes of the show, so I did as I usually do with MOTD and quickly change channel just beforehand, so that it only records the part that I want.

I would imagine that any goals from the game against Porto and a possible Semi-Final will be shown on the "Countdown to Kick Off" show at 6:30pm tomorrow night.

Is that a final position play-off?

Shame we went out on penalties, put in a good showing after a disappointing start though, and better things are expected of that age group as they grow, by the sounds of things.

Three matches in a day? Ouch...

What's our best finish in this tournament then?

Anyone know if this lad is related to Bob Harrop who played for United during the Busby Babes era?

Cheers for the info. At the very least matching our best performance then, very good showing from the young 'uns. Internacional will be a tough one, I presume. Either way, I'm sure Fergie'll be pleased with the turnaround.

Highlights show is just highlights of the final, annoyingly. Seems we're destined not to find out too much about this year's tournament.

I recorded it and had a quick skim through to see what it was.

Perhaps there will be a program at some point in the future, but there is clearly a reluctance to show too much of U16's. I can understand why but Barcelona apparently show live games of their much younger youth teams on their own TV channel.

Would be nice to at least find out the full squad, hopefully that'll emerge at some point.

Maybe Fergie doesnt want kids at that age to be on TV in case it gets to their head. He said that about the U18s before.

Was a proper highlights show on this morning, just caught it when channel-hopping. Not sure if it'll be shown again, got most of the squad now though:

1. Daniel Atkinson
2. Joshua Harrop
3. Nicolas Ioannou
4. Joe Rothwell
5. Matthew Wilkinson
6. Ben Barber
7.
8. James Weir
9. Daniel O'Brien
10. Ben Pearson
11. John Pritchard
12.
13. Elliott Chadderton
14. James Wilson
15. Omar Thompson
16. Louis Rowley

One of the missing two is definitely Liam Grimshaw, #12 I think but not sure. The 14 names above are exactly the same as the Marveld squad (same numbers and everything) - #7 at Marveld was Ryan Shields/Shiels and #12 was Michael Starkey, so presumably the other player is one of those two.

Hopefully it'll be on again.

Are you sure that's the right spelling?

Cheers, Reverend. How are things?
Well, I have been away for almost two months because of health issues and will be away again, but I will be beck to usual in terms of giving information here and following the youths and reserves in a few months.
:)

Feel like I have not done my duty here this season and during the summer months!
;)

The youths are more promising then most years. So much talent and promise.
