Who the devil asked Doevle to open a game thread? Dammit I am superstition. If you open a thread and we don't get very favourable results please refrain from doing so again. And warning to whoever opened the Burnley game.

Just joking.

Bolton are playing well. This could be as tough a game as todays was. Fergie needs to get the team selection just right. Fergie better not rest any players for the Moscow game. We'll need to be on top form to get the 3 points after todays horrorshow.

I'd play

Rooney Berbatov

Giggs Anderson Carrick Fletcher

Evra Rio Vidic O'Shea

VDS (if fit)

We can't stop here. This is bat country.
Bit early to predict line-up, what with internationals and all, but if I had to choose now I'd go for this:

------------PIG

O'Shea---Rio---Vidic---Evra

Nani---Carrick---Anderson---Giggs

------Berbatov---Rooney

- Foster needs to be dropped IMO. If VDS is back great, if not, play PIG.

- Would like to see Nani start on right, as he was good there 2nd half today.

- Carrick and Anderson, same midfield that dismantled Wolfsburg.

- Ryan Giggs, welcome back to the team.

- Rooney needs to get back on form. Berba just needs to keep up what he's doing.

Looks good to me mate. I think Edwin might be back, but agree that it should be Kuszczak otherwise.

If Anderson goes half way around the world with Brazil and comes back on a Friday I can't see him starting. Same with Park and Valencia. They could all play the game in Russia.

Hey be a bit quiet with the FFSs. We could have gone into this period with a defeat. I actually want a this break to be honest. Will give SAF time to think.

Last season, we lost to Liverpool and Fulham, then, international break gave us time to rest and we won with Aston Villa 3-2 after Macheda's goal.

Amazing how many people were slating Kuszczak saying he makes mistakes every game, now want him to play every game.

We really need to turn things round in this game and batter them off the park like we did Wigan

Foster (give him another chance...although, to be fair, I didn't see yesterday's match, so this opinion's subject to change after seeing Sunderland's second goal)

O'Shea - Ferdinand - Vidic - Evra

Valencia - Fletcher - Carrick - Giggs

Rooney
Berbatov

Not that there's a sense of crisis by any means, but an emphatic victory would be good--especially with Anfield on the horizon. Wouldn't mind seeing Owen and (gasp) Hargreaves on the pitch at some point.

I don't know why most of you agreed.

When Brazil will play against Venezuela in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, it's thursday morning in England. Anderson will probably be back on thursday evening or friday morning. I don't think that Ferguson will risk playing him, he has players to choose from (Scholes, Fletcher). Anderson can easily play 90 minutes with CSKA on Wednesday.

Is Anderson back in the Brazil squad then?

If he's knackered play Fletcher. Simples.

We always tend to have a dodgy performance every 7 or 8 games - we're lucky that we got a point against Sunderland. Hopefully the break will see the side come back sharper both physically and technically.

I think we'll batter Bolton at home. With Wayne back amongst the goals hopefully.

I don't - Berbatov is in a decent little run now and Fergie would be smart to keep him in the side. He was far and away our best player against Sunderland.
And I think it'd be best if we leave him out so we don't run the risk of aggravating his injury. There's no point in rushing him back. It might be the case that Rooney won't be able to play against Liverpool on the 25th due to his wife expecting their baby, so a fully fit Michael Owen at the ready for that game is a must.

I'd rather have him fully fit on the bench than Welbeck/Macheda/King

I completely agree, though I hope if he's fully fit for the Bolton game, he makes the bench.
