Team should be...

GK: VDS

RB: Rafael
CB: Ferdinand
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Nani
CM: Fletcher
CM: Scholes
LM: Park

CF: Rooney
CF: Hernandez

Subs: PIG, O'Shea, Smalling, Carrick, Giggs, Berbatov, Macheda

Should batter them but it's more likely to be 2-0 Rooney & Nani with the goals

Do we need to play Park vs the Rovers parked bus? They'll be hard to break down but well GIggs won't be playing again in 3 days so no other options.

Why Giggs won't be playing again in three days? He may be rested next midweek when we play West Ham in League Cup.

He was quite good today, wasn't he? I'd like to see him once again with Nani on the wings and I'm sure Blackburn won't park a bus like Rangers did today. Giggsy is fresh, he had a break.

Agree with this, but i'd expect O'Shea to get a place on the bench somewhere.

United could spend £85million on David De Gea, Phi
...............Van Der Sar
Rafael - Ferdinand - Vidic - Evra
..Nani - .Carrick - Scholes - Giggs
...........Rooney - Berbatov
Given we have a carling cup game at West ham 3 days after which we will obviously look to field a young team and the fact Sir Alex has said we will be fielding more consistent line ups from now on thats my guess given Scholes is fit of course, i think the likes of Hernandez and co will be subs for this one with a look ahead to starting the youngsters in the carling cup.

Rooney and Berbatov will start up front again.

Me either, although the fact we have no midweek game that he'll be required for makes me think he might start, he needs the match time, then have a weeks rest to prepare for Blackpool, i think thats how we might go.

Who knows, Scholes and Giggs are the doubts for this one, if not them then Anderson and Park will likely start.

Can't see us playing both Rafael and Evra against Blackburn. Two short fullbacks would be a mistake.

have seen Scholes start two matches within 3 or 4 days...but can't remember when Giggs did the same.

No Friedel, but they still have it in them to hold us to a draw if they're of the right mindset on the day

I'm guessing the first choice back 4 will all start and I think Giggs will get a start as well, he needs games and wont be playing against West Ham. I could see Park maybe coming in for Nani and Anderson for Scholesy if he's injured. Rooney and Berb will start as I expect Hernandez and Macheda to start vs West Ham in the CC.

Dangerous game. We always play like shit in the 1st half after a CL game, very slow out of the blocks.

I can see this fixture causing us some headaches.

Having spoken in the week about too much rotation, I hope Fergie doesn't dick around too much with the side.

VDS

Rafael - Ferdinand - Vidic - Evra

Nani - Scholes - Carrick - Giggs

Berbatov - Rooney

If I'm not mistaken, Blackburn currently have 12 injured 1st team members.

Watched them mostly to look at Mame, so I have watched them quite often.

Their fullbacks are definitely weak, get Nani to run as much as possible at Salgado, he doesn't have the pace to keep up, also vs Samba,Phil Jones, I would go for a bit more pace and I wouldn't stick Berba yet.

Hernandez-Rooney would be ideal, hopefully SAF won't be tinkering much or if Berbatov plays, I don't think Scholes will be used.

Well, its a great time to play them for me, Rafael will surely close down Gamst well enough and Evra should do great vs H.Diouf.

I reckon Park will start against Wham, so Giggs is going to start vs Blackburn.

Park, if any player, can play two games back to back. It amazes me that we've come down to some kind of presumtion that professional athletes can't play two games in a row. Just look at Javier Zanetti, over three seasons, Zanetti was an ever-present force on the backline, missing only a combined 11 league games in three years.*

My post implies that Giggs will start two games in a row. It's important for us that Giggs regains his form. He needs games, as does Rooney. I think it's much more likely Giggs to start vs Blackburn than vs Wham.

Agreed. It's something that has started to increasingly irritate me.

"He'll need a rest at the weekend."

Will he feck.
