I hate to place that much importance one one player but I tend to agree with this. Martial has been the spark for us recently. Seems insane that Jose's still messing him about. According to Jose he did enough against Wigan to earn a place on the bench. 2 assists get's you dropped at the moment if your name is Anthony Martial.

Who are these 'others' who have performed better than martial? The constant changing is not helping the wingers at all. Martial is more of a goalscorer than rashford from the wings.

To add to that, Mourinho plays a defensive fullback and an offensive fullback. For that reason, Darmian will never substitute directly for Valencia unless Shaw plays on the other wing and in that situation it's more a case of Shaw covering Valencia's role than Darmian even if it's on the opposite wing.

Well, he played a Darmian-Rojo combo last time against Hull But yes, I totally agree with you on that. That's why Young seems the more natural substitute. And Mourinho tried to combine him with Mata playing very centrally in the right-wing just ahead, like Valencia's supposed to.
