AWB is just non existent. He really is our weakest link. We look far more dangerous, need to be more ruthless in front of goal and finish them off.
This. Rashford LW and RW are like different players. It is his natural position.Rashford should always play on the left. Looks like a Ronaldo mk. 2 out there.
He’s made 2/3 chances already in this game, what more do you expect against liverpool ?I’ll be really disappointed if we don’t win this. We look the better side. McTom is a liability and Beek a bit of a passenger.
Passed the ball out well to Rashford for our goalAs a #10, not much. He's got far more scope for development as a CM as he has a good touch and good passing and is good under pressure and can keep the ball.
Agree. VDB needs to play less like a teenager and start taking responsibility. He usually does something good in the little moments he has but we need more. Mctominay is technically weak and it really stands out. The rest of the team have done well.I’ll be really disappointed if we don’t win this. We look the better side. McTom is a liability and Beek a bit of a passenger.
Imagine trying that against the iceman.WtfTweet

Shaw was worse. That aside, blaming a 19 year old striker for us being one down when two defenders between them can’t mark one player is stupid.True. One statement does not negate the other. Lindeloff was very weak.
I think he waits for the game to come to him instead of imposing himself. Perhaps that’s tactical. He unquestionably has good interventions when he gets on the ball, but also has large stretches of not being in the game. He’s made 2/3 chances already in this game, what more do you expect against liverpool ?
Fans are being so unrealistic. Bruno did sod all against them last week
Ian Wright is a set of headphones away from looking like Ty from AFTV.
He's been asleep for 8 yearsYou have just realised?
I think you have to give credit to the liverpool midfield positioning as well to find the space for that. People used to say Carrick is lucky that opposition always give him space, well it's about positioning and finding spaces. The lack of pressure from our midfield was a bigger issue. No way should they be allowed the time and space to get on the ball, look up and casually pick a pass between the lines. It happened way too much in that half.
It's actually 27 really? Mind the time against Chelsea herrera got a 2nd yellow for consecutive team fouls.
Total joke, no consistency
surely he needs to quarantine if he turns upET. Still level after that, penalties.. Replays have been binned in cups for now because of fixture congestion.
Same here, beautiful 1 touch football. We just need to learn to use him more, all our forwards want to just go on mazy dribbles instead of bouncing it off him.Proper rate VDB, I love how quick everything he does things, problem is you don’t see enough of him.
Most of the people will open another beer. What happens if it ends as a draw?
I'm a slow learnerYou have just realised?
Yep, if only AWB would try to support Mason, but who knows, maybe that's Ole plan, to overwork their right side since TAA is lesser defender than Robertson.Been the case for 2 seasons now. If only AWB backed up Mason, or anyone on that side, to a similar effect as Shaw.
He is not a flashy player, he keeps the ball well, gets into the right position and does simple runs. We haven’t been wasting a lot of balls. Compared to the previous game against Liverpool, the possession is a lot more even. We had a lot scoring chances in this half, could’ve been 2-3 up already.Stop overrating him. He hasn't been that visible. Rashford and Shaw have been fantastic, plus you can't overlook the run that he had a full stop on. Outside of the flick on to Shaw, hasn't been too special. He' s clearly an attacker though and his flick and one two's are deadly. I really would like to see him on the right at some point.
It's not standard being unrealistic, I like him, but in order to be a consistent starter in this team, he needs to be more proactive in creating attacks. He needs to prove to Ole that he's more valuable than martial, greenwood and maybe Pogba. You can't be through on a counter attack like he was and waste the chance by waiting for the rest of the team to catch up. Bruno would have created a scoring opportunity, as would Ziyech, freakish, Madison etc. He needs to prove he's that level of player, otherwise he won't start.Nah he’s been good. Not spectacular but amongst our best players after Shaw, Rashy and probably Pogba. VdB played the pass that made the goal, has constantly made runs, could have had a peno and generally been good around the oppo box.
Either you’re unintentionally biased (there is a big anti VdB cult on here) or your standards are just unrealistic.
McT has been ok I think, he’s had a few decent moments to set us off on the break. He’s being overwhelmed in the middle though, not sure him and Pogba compliment each other very well.I’ll be really disappointed if we don’t win this. We look the better side. McTom is a liability and Beek a bit of a passenger.
That's exactly the problem. People in this thread seem to be misconstruing a lot of people's criticisms. It's not that he's been poor, he's just not in the game enough. He's a lovely footballerProper rate VDB, I love how quick everything he does things, problem is you don’t see enough of him.
Cavani as well I reckon.Good half, Shaw, Pogba and Rashford have been very good
Yep. Had a headless chicken moment, broke the defensive line and played Salah onside when everyone else was playing him off side.True. One statement does not negate the other. Lindeloff was very weak.
Really don’t get the hate for McTominay. VDB needs to do more but quite a few times McT broke up play and setup counter attacks or dribbled the team out of trouble.Agree. VDB needs to play less like a teenager and start taking responsibility. He usually does something good in the little moments he has but we need more. Mctominay is technically weak and it really stands out. The rest of the team have done well.
