The announcement video is disappointing. "Put on the shirt so we can announce you". Probably edited by an unpaid intern as well. Fecking Glazers.
I'm more traditional when it comes to this stuff. I think there shouldn't even be a video. Just a picture and announcement. First training and you gather new signings together with manager and present them in press conference.

Show your worth on the pitch and not on social media.

Are transfers between United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool more common these days? In the last decade or so we've seen a fair share of movement between these clubs but I feel like when I was growing up moves like these were very scarce.

Great to see it's official, hopefully more signings to follow over next month or so.

Thought Mount's message to Chelsea fans was genuine and classy. However, many of them seem to be pissed off with him

Seems so especially in the days of dispassionate owners, expect Boehly just sees a pure profit of 60mil where ffp is concerned.

Mason Mount said:

“It’s never easy leaving the club where you grew up, but Manchester United will provide an exciting new challenge for the next phase of my career. Having competed against them, I know just how strong a squad it is that I’m joining, and I can’t wait to be part of this group’s drive to win major trophies.

“Everyone can see that the club has made big steps forward under Erik ten Hag. Having met with the manager and discussed his plans, I couldn’t be more excited for the seasons ahead, and am ready for the hard work expected here. I am hugely ambitious; I know how amazing it feels to win major trophies and what it takes to do it. I will be giving everything to experience that again at Manchester United.”
John Murtough, Manchester United football director, said:

“Mason is an extremely intelligent footballer and has so many fantastic technical qualities that will significantly add to our squad. We have admired his talents for a long time, so we are delighted that he has chosen to take the next steps in his career here at Old Trafford. His style of play and attributes are a perfect fit for this squad, and we all believe that he will only improve further working with Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff.

“Mason himself is a world-class player but he also has the ability to improve the players around him through his game intelligence and tactical awareness. We were particularly impressed by his strong desire to join United, and his thirst for further success, as we push to drive up our performance levels next season and beyond.”

If we look at United and Liverpool, we've seen some people play for both clubs like Owen and Ince, but direct transfers between the clubs seem extremely rare and by googling I found that the last time someone went from one to the other was 59 years ago. Remember SAF refusing to sell Heinze to Liverpool...

He's a very good player, I do think this means Sancho leaves us now - hard to see how he plays his way back into the team unless he suddenly rediscovers his form.

This offers us a lot of flexibility in our midfield setup. I am sure Mount will turn out to be a great signing for us. Welcome Mason!

That's just a pure mouthpiece by the club. Let's be honest, we overpaid relative to what our initial offer was, and he's coming here because we're giving him a mammoth contract that Chelsea wouldn't.

I hope he's as good as Chelsea fans think he is and not the player I've seen on loads of occasions who has always looked a bit meh.

Has anyone said ‘this is a Fergie signing’ yet?

When I'm watching the match, I'm going to get confused if it's Mount or Fernandes on the ball.

Get that blonde hair back

It’s a good signing, but we still need a few more transfers for it to really work.

But Murtough and the team won’t get the credit for it - disappointingly
I'm very much in favour of not bashing Murtough who seems to be getting deals over the line but this does seem driven by ETH. To be honest there's nothing wrong with that given his eye for players has been good so far and if Murtough's real responsibility is simply to get deals done then he's doing his job well. Have we seen rumoured wages yet? Be interesting to see how much larger our wages are to the offer from Chelsea.

Weird seeing him in red. Think he’ll thrive here

Not sure about how he fits United side now but I fully trust he's the one for the future.
Well it's like a last season's midfield but Mount in for Eriksen, providing more energy, strength, pace etc. We do still need another midfielder, especially if Fred and McTominay are to leave.

I don't know why people keep thinking we'll play Mount in the CMs, all the Chelsea fans on here have made it clear he's essentially never played there and is much better LW or 10.
There's no way we will play Case alone with Mount and Bruno ahead of him, we'll get hammered by any half decent team who can counter.

Welcome to the club Mason!

He’s not exactly the fashionable choice but he is a very good midfielder who will add goals and assists as well as his work off the ball.

Looking forward to watching him during pre-season to see how the manager plans to use him.

Not everything is money related. Maybe he wanted to come and play for us ?

I really dont know what to think about this one. I had huge hopes for Mount last year and he was absolutely crap. Maybe Tuchel going so early messed him up a bit and maybe a change of scenery will do him good; he'll be better than Erikson whose legs seem to have completely gone hopefully and will add a bit of depth there perhaps. I don't expect too much from him though. Would love to be proved wrong.

"He is set to be paid more than £200,000 per week, potentially rising to at least £250,000 per week with bonuses — in the same ballpark as the deal Chelsea had originally offered, as well as a rival proposal put forward by Liverpool." - From the article.
