from the BBC Archives, pretty good and you could substitute the Clough parts for Mourinho

Great interview. Thanks for sharing. It seems the sin bin idea goes back a long long way

All ways good to hear guys like him talk, still relevant 40 odd years later.

crikey, even then saying the game is going more defensive
Even in those days the fear of losing was beginning to take precedence over the joy of winning and its only got worse!
Oh yeah definitely!

In the 73/74 season Ipswich top scored with 67 goals. Last season Chelsea scored 85, Spurs 86, City 80, Liverpool 78, Arsenal 77. Lets not forget that in 73/74 season they played an additional 4 more games too.

This season we only need another 15 goals to equal what we scored in the entire 73/74 season. That means if we were in our current situation back then we would need to score those 15 goals in 32 games, that’s off the back of scoring 23 goals in 10 games.

7 teams failed to score more than a goal a game in 73/74 season, last year that number was just 3, and Hull only missed out by a single goal.

Some people just love to moan.

Yes Sir Matt was a moaning old sod, no idea what he was talking about!
Ah, so instead of actually commenting on the stats that show you’re talking out your arse, you’ll intentionally misinterpret the comment. It’s ok, I don’t think anyone noticed

Erm, what do you think attacking football is exactly?
Even in those days the fear of losing was beginning to take precedence over the joy of winning and its only got worse!
Except, as I’ve just proven and you’re refusing to accept, it’s not getting worse, it’s the exact oppposite.
