Loved his acting but he also seemed like a really nice guy. Remember an Anthony Bourdain with him and everyone he walked past talked to him like a best friend. Seemed so humble. Fecking hell.

The Emmy's are in 2 weeks and he's nominated, I saw him at an award show just the other day too.
Just a really sad day, beyond being a great actor he came across like a really genuine guy too.

Damn it. He was a fantastic actor, and seemed like a genuine guy. Goes without saying he played one of the best TV characters of all time in my eyes. Rest in peace Omar.

Couldn't have put it better, he brought a lot of depth and relatability to each character he portrayed.
RIP, very talented actor. He was excellent in Boardwalk Empire, later saw him in The Wire too. Real character actor.
So sad. Omar was up there with Tony Soprano for iconic TV characters, and Williams was also great as Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire.
