I said to the same thing to myself with Norwich and Bournemouth.I know we are bad, but I just cant see us losing against this lot.
I expected defeat against Bournemouth to be honest.I said to the same thing to myself with Norwich and Bournemouth.
I think they beat Brugge 4-2 on aggregate in their group, beating them and Legia Warsaw for the 2nd spot after Napoli.I expected defeat against Bournemouth to be honest.
This club are worse than Brugge, and that was a walk.
I still feel we'll be better than them.I think they beat Brugge 4-2 on aggregate in their group, beating them and Legia Warsaw for the 2nd spot after Napoli.
My heart will go on.Don't want to break anyone's heart, but I don't think we have any chance to win this competition regardless.
Gotcha!!!Nope, I was talking about the u21s of course. Top of the table with 2 point lead and a game in hand!
Indeed.at the people actually thinking we have a shot at winning the Europa League.
I'd say that Sunderland is our lowest point so far. The only way we can hit a lower point is losing to Aston Villa. If we cannot beat this sort of team then we've just hit the very bottom.
Our record against the so called weaker teams does not make for great reading:They were not very good about Legia at all, think they lost in Warsaw and were extremely lucky to win at home. I wasn't particularly impressed with them against Southampton either. If we cannot beat this sort of team then we've just hit the very bottom.
We barely won the reverse fixture back in August on a lone Januzaj goal.I'd say that Sunderland is our lowest point so far. The only way we can hit a lower point is losing to Aston Villa.
Napoli/Dortmund/ Sevilla would rip us apart and Bilbao could do something similar if on form. Who does he think he is kidding? The F.A. Cup is more the option for a trophy, as it is quite often the luck on the day. Just shows he knows he has failed badly in getting fourth place and is in full panic mode.Indeed.
LVG is keeping the delusion alive and fans continue to fall for it.
I remember when I too was deluded into thinking we could win the title and go into the last few rounds of the CL. I wont be falling for that again.
Our current form is akin to a team battling relegation. The fact that we lost to Norwich, Bournemouth, Sunderland, etc is in line with our form.
And IMO, LVG has already checked out. It just seems as if he doesn't care any more and is merely counting down the days to his retirement.
With our scoring form, or lack of, that is a very real possibility.Expecting to go out on away goals because that would be very LVG.
I missed the first game, but the 1-1 draw to end the group stage was a miserable game really.I think they beat Brugge 4-2 on aggregate in their group, beating them and Legia Warsaw for the 2nd spot after Napoli.
Any famous players?Midgetland are full on into analytics and really work hard on set pieces, we specialise in giving free headers on set pieces so this could get ugly.
Nope they have no famous players, I saw there two qualifying games against Southampton where they were very disciplined and allowed Southampton to have all the ball. There is nothing special about the team and a Saf team would have absolutely murdered them over two legs.Any famous players?
They have one young wonderkid named Pione Sisto, apparently we were seriously interested last summer, along with Everton, Arsenal, City and every one else.Any famous players?
It's because they have a very long winter break in Danish Superliga. League resumes on Feb 27th, after the two games against United.I was just going through FC Midtjylland's latest fixtures and their last competitive game was last game of Europa league group stage, on 10th Dec! They have a long winter break there it seems but they have been playing friendly games since 21st Jan. They have played 6 friendly games since 21st Jan, but no competitive game. Not sure why it is like that, so many friendly games after the winter break.
It was comfortably the most popular prediction, for a while. Spirits weren't high on Saturday...love how 10% people go for 5:0 Midjaland
What happened to all the prior info, like history of the opposition, team news etc. I usually like reading that.Let the discussion begin...
