How many people would it take to make that decision though?
2. Joel and Avram

Until sale is finalized and Ratcliffe assumes control of of football operation, the Glazers are still the ultimate decision makers. Nothing stops them from firing EtH, unless you know something we don't and Brexit Jim is a huge fan of EtH and already ensure his survival as part of the deal

He's right in what he said though, there's no point getting mad really. We're a mess and have been for years, hopefully someone comes along and changes all that like Liverpool went from an absolute laughing stock under last season Rodgers to CL finalists in 3 years under Klopp.
Don’t disagree but there’s no need to write Banter Manchester United in a post answering about Onana.

Because they could turn into Kepa instead of Allison.
Kepa was the goalkeeper equivalent of Antony, he was worth nowhere near that but Chelsea were desperate and he had a release clause so they way overpaid, he hadn’t proven much in the game at all. Someone like Maignan is far more proven.

2. Who usually tend to act and think in a very similar manner. How many people do you think it usually takes in big clubs across Europe?

We're very poorly ran, that's fine, the Glazers are awful, I think everyone agrees, but there's no need to make shit up.

More than two for many clubs who often have a structure built around at least three roles a CEO, a general manager and a DOF. As an example for Real Madrid it would be Perez, Sanchez and Solari.

Yep, this seems about right - and I feel like it's the right process for this type of decision.

your club already seemingly does everything at a snails pace. Right now big decisions need to be cleared through 2 different ownership groups each with their own personnel.

What? No. Perez decides, at most he asks for JAS opinion. The decision-making is streamlined, as it is at pretty much any club, because it's a fast acting environment requiring fast decision making

As an example, one of the things that bogged Inter down(and still does to an extent) is how the Chinese ownership tended to slow every decision down, because they were in China, every decision had to be approved by them and they took forever to answer. Then Steven Zhang took a more direct role in running the club and they got good, consistently

Hired Bebbe Marotta in 2018 who is the main one pulling the strings.

On 13 December 2018, Marotta officially joined Inter as CEO for sport.[23] Since joining Inter, the club have won several trophies, including the Scudetto in 2021, the Coppa Italia in 2022, and two Supercoppa Italiana titles in 2022 and 2023, and were finalists of the UEFA Europa League in 2020 and the UEFA Champions League in 2023. Inter went through a ten-year trophy drought until Beppe Moratta joined the club and under his leadership, Inter has signed the likes of Antonio Conte and Simone Inzaghi to coach the club. Romelu Lukaku, Achraf Hakimi, Nicolò Barella, Christian Eriksen, Andre Onana, Hakan Calhanoglu, Matteo Darmian, Edin Dzeko and Alexis Sanchez are some of his notable signings at the club, with many of these players contributing to Inter's recent success. During the 2022-23 Inter Milan season, Inter reached the UEFA Champions League final for the first time since 2010.

but he can't sign on things. Marotta, like his predecessors, ran into the problem of distant ownership that required every decision be run by them first, which slowed things down immensely and created a lot of problems at every level. Then Conte had threw his toys out of the pram in that post-season rant in 2020, Marotta managed to convince the Zhang family to have someone be present in the day-to-day running of the club and ever since they turned into the dominant force in the country, as a club

After becoming victim to racism today, if he wants to leave Italy we should do anything to sign him.

Most likely on his way out this summer, cheeky swap with Onana + 40m? Should have always been our top target to replace DDG, but better late than never.

according to what? has a deal til 2026, has been poor 3/4 of the season... will likely renew for higher wages and stay put.
that said, I'm mostly all for selling him this summer if a big one comes in, but I don't see it. and no one in this club will ever say yes to onana + anything.

Replacing your brand new keeper who has played well for most of his debut season is not how you build a squad. I'd also go as far to say that Onana would be difficult to upgrade on right now. He's done very well outside of those 6 Champions League group games, and there aren't exactly a lot of great keepers available on the market.

Why swap Onana who has improved through the season?

Edit: don't watch Milan so no clue he's their GK

Maignan is the better keeper but he is injury prone. And not true about Onana being poor 3/4 of the season. People blow things out of proportions. We’ve been collectively poor. Not him. His individual stats in the PL are quite good.

He’s referring to Maignan, if I read that correctly. Not Onana.

edit: what izec said
