Sometimes I hear a song and hear a name or something in it. It's not the actual lyrics but it then sticks with you. For example...

At the beginning, I hear the name of a Dutch defender that played for us. We seem to have traded him for a player called Resonate.

Sounds like Norman Wisdom at the beginning.

I just remembered that when I was younger I thought in the Faithless song 'Mass Destruction' that he was saying Ray Cism is a weapon of mass destruction, possibly because of the cadence he says it in

Like I genuinely thought he was talking about a man named Ray Cism. It only clicked with me a few years later. Baffles me to this day.

Hold me closer Tony Danza still cracks me up when I think of it. In the context of the rest of the song its excellent. Like Elton just decided to release the most specific love song ever.

Tony Danza - Elton John

Players - Slum Village - Well this isn't misheard but the original sample is "Claire" which Dilla distorted to make it sound like "players".

Slightly unrelated but in My Eyes by Travis, everyone says "it's a sin where birds of a feather land on you"
But I'm convinced it's "it's a scene where birds of a feather land anew"

When I was a kid, the song "Here comes the hotstepper" I used to hear the line "I'm the lyrical gangster" as "I'm the really cool gangster". Perhaps too young to have the word 'lyrical' in my vocabulary at that point.

’I’ll lick your boom boom now’ was very confusing as a young child. I still don’t know what he‘s saying; guy has had an interesting life and career.

Opening line: “It’s too hard to sleep, I’ve got the shits - on the floor, but nothing on me.”

There was some eejit in a signing contest who thought the lyrics were 'Ken Lee' rather than 'can't live' in the chorus of Mariah Carey's Without You.

I used to think 'Golazo' was 'Go Lazio' in the Football Italia intro.

I have just discovered the Blink 182 lyric for What's my Age Again isn't "I walk alone, to get the feeling right"...

My whole life is a lie.

Once you hear Alf Garnett in that Destiny's Child song you can't unhear it.

I'm not even sure how you heard that

Unless we're speaking about different songs.
I got my first real six (sex) string (dream). Not that different. Not my fault what's his face has such a weird accent.

Bryan Adams, that's the one.
