Hi baseball lovers.

I have a questionv I always thought that the ball had to be pitched into a certain area in front of the batter, is this not a no ball?

The batter swung at the pitch and missed. It’s a strike.

Had the batter not swung, then that would have most likely been called a ball, as it passed the plate outside of the strike zone (which you can see as that little imaginary box hovering over the plate)
