MLB 2025

Trying to get into baseball not a huge fan though but decided I'll go for the mets as I watched a documentary about Dwight Gooden and Daryl Strawberry. Who doesn't root for talents who turn to cocaine?

Who does everything go for on here?
Mets are like the Spurs of baseball.

I root for the Braves since I was born.

I gather no one really cares about the Rays in St Pete. Heck, they may not care about them in the greater Tampa area.

The Rays have balked on further Trop repairs indicating a new venue or feck off, imo. City/county is now seeking reimbursement from the Rays for repairs made to the Trop as there was apparent desire to fix the Trop until recent days. Milton seems to be the perfect cover/excuse for ownership to force a new venue location and/or sell the club and/or relocate elsewhere. I'd say there's a decent wager odds the Rays could be off to Charlotte, Nashville, Portland, somewhere in the next 3-5 years.

Tampa market is too big. Likely sooner or later that owner is forced to sell and the team stays in Tampa. In that case, a stadium in the Ybor City district or the Fairgrounds in the eastern part (RIP I4 traffic).

Dodgers and Padres a class above the rest of the field. Shame they're in the same division and can't meet in the World Series.

Hard to disagree, there will be one or two others and usually a surprise team or two.

Yankees rotation is nowhere near it for a serious run this year with Cole out.

Dodgers with their first L.

Seriously, at this rate I am going to cave and get the Giants MLB package resulting in 1am bed times.

I can’t quite believe I’m watching a decent Giants team this season. Long may it continue.

Somehow we are on a five game winning streak. Zack fecking Littell actually won a frigging game!

Did you see some geezer fell from a stand in Pittsburgh, critical condition.

It seems like baseball is the only sport where fans fall from the stands.

Some guy became the 19th player to hit four homers in a game and it barely garnered much attention in the US sporting world this past weekend.
Probably because his team still lost!

Feck, that's brutal. Fan fell 21 feet, landed on his upper torso/head. Reddit threads mention drunk and having a blast.

I'd post a spoiler link to the fall video captured by a fan near home plate but probably best to leave that out of this thread.

With the football being so depressing I have started to get more stuck into MLB regular season this time & found it to be really good fun. Yankees being decent obviously helps but there's just something pretty nice about having a game almost every single day.

Helps when Yankee stadium is so short. Imagine Ohtani’s numbers if he got to play half his games there. Even his fly balls are near home runs…
Well that's just an assumption you are making based on ideas in your head. In fact Judge averages 425 on the road this season and 364 at home.
