If you gradually had all of your limbs and organs transplanted and replaced by donated ones one by one, at what point would "you" not actually be "you" anymore?

My grandad died about a month ago (at 93), but prior to that he had somehow been kept alive for the previous 8 years despite being barely able to stand up.
He had been a heavy smoker his entire life and his lungs were utterly, utterly gone. Somehow through some arcane cocktail of drugs and antibiotics though, the NHS managed to keep him alive long past any of our expectation. I remember at family christmases for what feels like the last decade, being told by my mum “this will probably be his last year with us”.

so yeah, modern medicine is unbelievable.
