A video of a Montreal Police officer that is alleged to have had a knee on the neck of a black student caught fighting, is out. The case is said to be disturbing by many members of the public and also politicians including the Mayor. The matter is being investigated. The young man who is 15 is alleged to have a stun gun in his possession.

It's good that everyone appears shocked over this, but insane that a police officer anywhere is still doing this. Learning is for losers?

I anyway have a negative impression of the Montreal police (SPVM). There are too many reports on misbehaviours, small and large - although that might be a bias in my news sources rather than actually indicative of a worse situation in Montreal than elsewhere.
