Name some great long range(out of box to 40meters) and long long range(over 40 meters) shooters?

How would you rate Forlan? He was incredible at those in the 2006 WC.
Aye, he's scored some real beauties over the years, too. Including this vs. Esportivo in the Campeonato Gaucho:

To be honest, it's hard to accurately rate a lot of players without substantial data to get a sense of their conversion ratio from afar. e.g. Nani scored some jaw-dropping ones at both club and national level - but with him, you got the impression that he wasn't consistently accurate despite the volume of long range goals he scored:

Arangoal (Juan Arango)

Can't post videos yet because I don't have enough likes but search on Youtube for "The Special Juan - All of Juan Arango's Goals in the Bundesliga"

Someone who repeatedly takes shots from +40 meters must be quite thick as the chances of those attempts going in are quite low. Taking the opportunity when a keeper is too far outside is one thing but repeatedly scoring from that far out?
Can anyone name a player who has scored 5+ Goals from that range?

I was just about to post Diego Forlan, I was wondering how his name hadn't been mentioned in this thread yet. I think the majority of his goals were from long distance:

Remember Arie Haan from the 78 World Cup?
Other than that Bobby Charlton was the greatest

Outside the boot specialist! Not many were so consistent outside the boot, in fact possibly the most consistent fk taker of all time?
I checked his stats really quickly now that we started talking about him.

71 goals in 467 club games and 10 goals in 63 international games.

Quickly looked at Roberto Carlos another great free-kick taker.

79 goals in 613 club games and 11 goals in 125 international games.

Mihajlovic had an average of 0.15 goals / game, Carlos 0.12 goals / game.

On top of that Mihajlovic played as a central defender while Carlos was playing as a wing-back in very offensive set-ups, Real, Brazil etc. Very underated free-kick taker at the least.

From the ones that haven't been mentioned thus far: Puskás, Eusébio, Haan, Rivelino.

e.g. Haan scored 2 high profile ones en route to the World Cup final in '78.

vs. West Germany:

vs. Italy:

And over the last decade...Wesley Sneijder has been quite good at converting from outside of the box.
I was going to mention Arie Haan. He is famous for his long range shooting. There was a Cameroon player called Kunde, who can really hit them.

Two whole pages and Juninho Pernambunco has only been mentioned once and Le Tissier not at all.

Those are the two major standouts in this category for me. Others banged in the odd goal from distance but those two feckers did it for fun!

Le God is an obvious miss, Juninho I have not seen much from open play, like say Beckham who has nearly 40 from outside of the box.
